I spent 3 weeks helping out Duncan and living with him this summer. It was an amazing experience. I enjoyed all of it, from visiting the local area, feeding and taking care of the animals as well as taking care of the adorable dog Islay.

I called it the Garden of Eden, and I don't think it was too much of an exaggeration.

This was my very first workaway experience and it couldn’t have been better. I spent 2,5 amazing months in a wonderful place. Thérèse and Peter are incredibly nice people and make you feel welcome in their home from day one.
The work was very varied and quite enjoyable. I got to do different jobs every day, so I was definitely never bored: for

The working days didn’t start very early and there was always a looong lunch break which gave me plenty of free time. Plus the 2 days off a week in which I explored the local area (and there is a LOT to see!)
Thanks to Peter and Thérèse I was also able to experience a bit of scottish culture. They took me to 3 concerts of folk music which was really great and I was able to go to scottish country dancing classes with them! They even knew someone who could lend me a violin, so that I could join a group and learn how to play scottish fiddle tunes.
Their home is also very cosy and the food is awesome, be it for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Thank you so so very much Peter and Thérèse for this wonderful time! I feel very lucky to have been able to stay here with you.

Hey Peter and Therese,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful area with me, your previous wwoofers and all the other people around you. I enjoyed the view everyday and took a lot of pictures to show my family and friends where I could stay for 3 weeks in the yellow-red-brownish-coloured autumn season. You can be very proud about the job you did in
… read more your life here. Thanks for taking me to Nairn, Findhorn, Glen Affric and the concert which was so impressive that I immediately wanted to buy a cd (while it’s not my habit to buy cd’s). I also visited Isle of Skye, the magic island, and Inverness, the capital of the highlands. I don’t know if I was lucky or not, but to my opinion, the weather was often good (most of the time dry and sometimes with sunshine) in this 3 weeks of October (what I didn’t expect for Scotland). Therese, you are a good cook and I’m glad that I could take some of your recipes home. Another thank you for making the chores so varied.
Good luck with finishing the last lodge and going on with your daily life here.

With Peter & Therese it was my first stay in Scotland and my fourth workaway stay. It is a very beautiful landscape and all the people there are lovely. Hana, Rob, Bianca & the kids, Peter & Therese. I graded eggs, poured comfrey liquid over the tomato plants, took a lot of thistles out of the ground, painted some walls and did some weeding. For the open day we made fairies to hide in the garden for children to find them. It never got boring. Although small in stature Luisa is a great worker with a big heart! A German precision machine who likes to be a perfectionist.
