  the project Site is a very remote wildlife site, but about only 2h1/2 from Paris by Car and motorway or 3h by Train from Paris.

  ■ We always continuously look for at least 1 (but preferably even more than 1) Housesitters ! (all year round...)■
  
  We look for the perfect helpers. Who are good company and easy to get on with. Who do what we asked of them and do it well. But also with lots of initiative. And do more besides with jobs we aren't expecting. 
  We look for wonderfull people, full of love, hapiness and inspiration.

  We are now welcoming travelers too! in France - and all who need a peaceful break in a wildlife Park !
  And have our site as to be their temporary home... We also have a passion as to keep Normandy site as an eco-environmental friendly dream as it is...and always has been. .. a paradise!

  TRANSPORT :
  You are more than welcome when you have your transport or your own car.. or motocycle etc.. .
  The dite is mostly suitable for those who have their own RV VAN camping-car - as quite remote… And NO COMFORT on site.
  
  the nearest little village and shop mini supermarket is only 1km away… 10' walk.
  otherwise you may need get or have your own bike !
  The nearest Bus stop is 5km. and the last stop for the Train station from Paris is 12 km away.
  
  In France you can easily travel anywhere , even remote locations,

  - even a few American Motorhomes would find space for parking...!
  
  ● From ASAP and/or in future too.. Housesitters are always welcome... :-) ▪︎ at present mostly suitable for those who come with their own van or tent (for Camping/Glamping on site) . Exceptionally we can provide for a tent. Or a tiny lovely caravan that can host 2 people - (maximum 4) (only for those who are tidy)!

  But as for now there is no comfort yet you are welcome to use your own tent or your motorhome as it is quite nearly Only 1 option jn summer that is camping in your own tent in the yard

  - or in 1 room in the house that need you to tidy up before using...
  
  There is a lot of space even for a group of volunteers to do camping on site ...as the yard is big enough if you like to sleep in your own tent... or install a big tent for more

It could be just house sitting or could be sometimes to help with for example gardening, painting, tidying up) - If volunteering - would it be either less or up to five hours a day, or to discuss as very flexible - meals not included yet.   ▪︎ 1 site is a flat with NO Comfort.. to refurbish (plasters and paint walls, replace 2 or 3 windows... May be some plumbing and some electrical) - project is in Normandy city of CAEN (Studios flats in centre town just near train station ) at seaside near Famous D-DAY BEACHES area and Mt St Michel UNESCO sites .

  ■ TOURISM /OUTDOORS ACTIVITIES.■
  However, site is 12 km from Bagnoles-de-l'Orne train station . Bagnoles-de-l'Orne is a pretty lovely little resort little town, known for hot water springs and health medical centre of - BAGNOLES DE L'ORNE (61/ORNE). Also beautiful for its architecture of the 20s (a whole area of town has those pretty houses)... all around are outdoors activities: river canoe, horse riding, horse show, horse racing, trekking, walking trails in countryside or in forest, cycling trails, fishing in rivers etc...
  Also only 1h drive from famous Normandy WWII D-Day beaches !
  
  ■TOURISTIC AREA■
  Site is located in the heart of regional park.
  The site is remote as 500m from any other house but the area is not so remote as very lively outdoors area. Though still deep remote countryside very heart of authentic Normandy. .. apple and pear trees area heart of cider drink, and apple calvados alcool famous drinks... and apple juice direct from farms... also genuine camembert Normandy cheese from Normandy farm milk.   NORMANDY SITE:
  ■WATER
  Drinking Water is from the well .
  (But the well seems needs a clean up... before we can use it again for drinking/ work in progress)
  However there is plenty of water.
  And you have also plenry of mineral water at local nearby shop.
  And free fountain tap at little hamlet too just next door.
  
  ■SHOP
  the tiny little cheap supermarket is only 10 minute walk in little typical hamlet nearby.

  ■GARDEN
  The garden had not been used since a few years and need be done again if anyone wishes... but not necessary.
  You can have your own chicken and fresh egg if that pleases you!
  But wild plants have grown all over even in the yard.
  It need someone who love being in the wilderness! As for now it is left wild... With only squirrels and birds around you!
  It is full of lovely wildlife and nature.. hiking around is wonderful as in the regional Park.
  
  ■REMOTE but Touristic area!
  The house is isolated in countryside and nearest neighbours are 500 m across fields.
  A very pretty lovely resort city is only 12km away.
  Plenty of historic sites All around (middle age little cities and castles mostly)...
  and wold war 2 Normandy beaches are only 1h drive ... so is the famous Mt St Michel too (around 1h/ 100km).
  We are about only 2h30 drive from Paris .
  Many Parisiens since years have their countryside home or castle near us.. as so nearby.
  The little resort city is so unique and so pretty with its thermal health centre and little lake and casino and the forest that is great for its hiking trails, hiking around hills too, and riding... Also a lake for holidays and sport and outdoors activities in the resort city. ..and their hippodrome !
  
  ■HORSES
  As this area is famous for having a passion for horses And Horse races... as well as for a history and authenticity ..and was famous for hills full of apple and pear trees everywhere... and corn fields and pastures for cows ....as it is the nest of the famous worldwide known camembert from Normandy -and famous cookies and plenty of fresh milk ( and butter) direct from farmer!

  or even for a long term stay is better .
  But whatever is convenient for you would be fine.

  It is a great place for French immersion too....!
  It is lives by british prople as many of them own their holiday house near by and all over the area...

  The eco-project is about to start soon... so,
  for now it is mostly about : to clear the yard and garden ( and fields around ) from thorns and wild plants...
  
  There will be different possible activities :
  1/ Housesitters/caretakers (from now /ASAP/ urgently needed )...
  2/ Gardener or Help to clear the yard and garden from thorns and wild plants . NOW because of all sort of wild thorns and bushes are covering the whole yard and fields around... (and may be in winter needs some firewood cutting etc...).

  we may need someone or few people for :
  3 / light work refurbishing/ painting of 1 room/ check electrical/ mobile solar panel to install. ..etc...
  4/ Eventually sometimes we may need someone who like to take care or keep an eye on 2 or 3 Horses (from time to time / Now yet / Not needed now as Not even 1 horse but please let me know just in case you are interested in horses ).
  
  Any Volunteer for any of these activities is welcome!
  
  TOURISM
  For this countryside site, not far from famous NORMANDY BEACHES... this area was the road were wwII allied came by to free france! ...
  Located in the heart of the beautiful Normandy Park: "Parc Regional Normandie Maine ". ( that is a paradise mostly for those who love wildlife and camping in the wild...).

  It is still a dream to finish this sort of Eco environmental Project ...That is work in Progress!
  As to protect Nature around us...
  
  And may be a (flexible) workaway team is to be set up ! ?... We are open to suggestions. ..
  But at present it looks more like a chaos and need a lot of cleaning and also gardening and hard though easy and quick work to clear and tidy up the yard...to start with...

  - It is a Great place for Wildlife, Rest and having a healthy living peaceful Break ! And for creative people who love Photography etc... or whoever looks for inspiration and environment...

  VERY PRETTY RESORT CITY nearby:

  We are not far away from a very pretty resort City, and its leisure centre and small Lake, and the famous SPA Thermal medical centre (with hot water springs), with doctors at health centre...
  
  ■ HISTORY:
  A lot of HISTORY around with middle age and more recent castles from middle age to now...and amazing stylish typical places with a lot of history. only 1h drive from WWII Normandy beaches...
  
  ■ PEACE and REST for a great peaceful BREAK between travels :
  This Area is well-known for being peaceful. to be immersed in Nature and wildlife.
  a Great place to have a break after or before travelling a lot !
  
  ■ WILDLIFE:
  wildlife from the area comes and takes refuge with us... incl. wild animals such as a sort of deer around, and foxes, wild pigs, wild rabbits, although they are all more elusive and you would be lucky to see them. But you will mostly hear the very many birds singing! as they take refuge and the trees around the fields and old house...
  
  ■ NATURE:
  It's a great place for whoever have a passion for Nature and Environment
  And whoever likes rural life ! - and also whoever likes sustainable/self sufficient living. ..
  
  ■ OUTDOORS and mostly Hiking :
  However there are many outdoors activities and fun, horse ridding clubs around, like hiking, biking, jogging, ridding, fishing in local rivers, and lots more... A wonderful Natural Park area ! There are a lot of walking paths around... and a nearby Forest …
  This is a great area ! For whoever loves nature and outdoors.
  
  ■ LOCAL FOOD:
  Normandy is famous for its famous Food : camembert cheese and fresh cow milk etc…
  A small supermarket is only 10 minutes walk from the site.
  
  This project wants to be the little paradise for those who need a break and those who love creativity in peace and rest within a wildlife environment !
  ( But dont forget at present it is no comfort ... only wildlife ! Nature ! All is still to be set... ) .

  so you can choose what you like to Volunteer for :
  
  HELP: as HOUSE SITTER is required NOW !
  Now, ASAP, At present Help is needed to Housesit
  And also another HELP is needed to clear the yard from thorns and wild plants… there is a well with natural water (underground natural fresh water & nearby natural spring of water) but the well needs to be fully cleaned as a piece of wood fell inside!!! It used to be a well for drinkable water -(but not anymore till it is cleaned !!! ). However there is water but not drinkable on the site.
  ■if you volunteer just as housessitter you organise yourself as you wish.
  
  
  GARDEN and YARD - to clear thorns etc...
  ■ Gardening ( and Optional : wood cutting required in winter only may be / And may be cutting of 1 or 2 fallen trees! )
  It Now needs CLEARING yard and garden and field around from THORNS and wild plants and wild bushes :
  You can create your own vegetable garden if you wish ! You can have your own free-range chicken and have fresh eggs each day! The area is known for its apples trees and pear trees (and for mushrooms !) ...
  And Fresh milk from local farmers. ..
  
  
  OPTIONAL : IF or WHEN ANIMALS:
  You are welcome as either housessitter or as caretaker for the ex-ranch.
  [[ And also we may need someone soon or in future to take care or keep an eye on animals in the fields from time to time , when or if animals are around -if any- in case it needs moving portable electric fence for managed grazing of 1 or 2 horses !…]].
  HORSES :
  ■If you volunteer with horse(s) : if and when there are 1 or more horses around: it may need 1or 2 h each day of ordinary routine: The morning routine involves feeding and cleaning the 2 or 3 horses. And then you are usually free.
  The horses will be also in field just next to the house...
  ■ it may be required some help build a quick shelter for horses ( or whatever is needed from time to time... but not necessarily...).

  It needs a lot of cleaning and Tiddy up... It is quite a chaos now!!! and only Nature and wilderness...
  
  At beginning you may have to be very self organised...
  
  CAMPING IN A TENT OR IN A CARAVAN in the yard or in the fields :
  It is for You if you really like wildlife and camping in a tent in the yard .. (even a family or a small goup are welcome ! and you can come with your own tent and your dog ) ...
  There is also a small caravan in the yard...

  We Welcome camping-cars ! so you can have your own space...
  
  MEALs and Expenses :
  (Meals are NOT provided at present... and all expenses are yours... (But to see depending on what you volunteer for ).

  WIFI via your own tablet or smartphone or via SFR french network. (You buy your own SIM card at local SFR stores. Unless you already have your own wifi ).
  Free wifi & Internet access is in nearby towns (5km away) and in small towns around...

  Train station is not far away ...12 km away.
  Trains are coming from Paris mostly...we are about approx 3h by car or by train from Paris.
  Some Coaches come from some small towns near us too...

  FRENCH LANGUAGE IMMERSION :
  It's perfect for a great break as a french immersion - as to learn french! as nobody speaks english around or very little !... or few young people... it is a very rustic area.. very genuinely french !
  And the resort city is instead very posh and sophisticated and with plenty of Tourists... and people from Paris or from nearby England who have their second home or countryside villa and/or castle in this area...
  
  TOURISM / GREAT OUTDOORS ACTIVITIES / GREAT FOOD / REST...
  The bus stop (near by ) gives you a good chance to explore this area well known for tourism.
  It's a great place for Bio and natural organic local food as Normandy has the best natural products !
  There is a lot of cycling around or walk paths...
  Horse riding schools as it is well known as a Horses area.
