Join the Adventure: Embrace Malawi with a Purpose

Hello! I'm Kay, the proud owner of a beachfront lodge in Cape Maclear, and I invite you to be part of a unique journey. As the only Malawian woman running a lodge in this picturesque destination, the experience comes with challenges, but it's an incredible ride.

My vision is to grow and explore my purpose, building dream businesses that merge to create beautiful spaces for guests to heal, grow, discover, explore, or simply unwind while we take care of them.

When I'm not at the lodge, I'm passionately working on my first business—an adventure tour company specializing in tailor-made tours. Additionally, I dedicate significant time to community-related businesses, especially in aiding Cape Maclear's recovery after the impact of COVID-19.

Last year, I initiated the Cape Maclear Carnival as a step toward healing this beautiful place and its people. The plan is to host the Carnival every other year, with three or four smaller events in between. These gatherings aim to combine my passion for Malawian culture, empowering women, facilitating healing, yoga, movement, adventure, and sports to benefit both visitors and the local population.

With so much on my plate, I'm reaching out for a helping hand to bring these dreams to life. I may not have all the required skills, but I'm hoping you might bring some of your expertise during your time with us. The lodge is a small, charming beachfront retreat with delightful reed chalets, and our dedicated team, led by a fantastic manager, ensures everything runs smoothly.

Come be part of this exciting adventure, where every effort contributes to the greater good. Let's create something extraordinary together!

Immerse Yourself in Malawian Life at Cape Maclear!

Join our fully Malawian team in Chembe fishing village, commonly known as Cape Maclear, for a unique and enriching experience of village life. Engage in conversations with me or any team member to delve into areas that captivate your interest. I'm passionate about sharing our Malawian culture and way of life in a respectful manner, fostering mutual learning and benefit from our interactions.

Situated in what used to be one of Malawi's busiest tourist attractions, you'll have ample time to explore the picturesque spots and connect with fellow travelers. If you're planning an extended stay, consider taking days off to venture into other captivating areas across Malawi for a refreshing change of scenery. I would be happy to help you plan and advise on the rest of your malawian exploration.

Moreover, I'm excited about supporting individuals on their healing journey through meditation and yoga. Whether you're starting or deepening your practice, I'm here to guide and inspire. Let's create meaningful connections and unforgettable moments together!

Exciting Opportunities Await in Cape Maclear!

Following the success of the first Cape Maclear Carnival in November 2023, we're gearing up for three smaller events in 2024. To ensure these events are a hit and avoid any financial strain, I'm seeking assistance with planning, marketing, and logistics.

I'm currently in search of someone with robust accounts, administration, and organizational skills to help streamline our office operations. Additionally, I need support in merging two websites or finding an efficient solution to manage both. Content writing and updates for the website are also on the to-do list. If you have expertise in direct online marketing, your skills would be invaluable as we work to rebuild our business post-pandemic challenges.

Cape Maclear, with its beauty and charm, provides a flexible and inspiring environment. Whether you have a background in websites, business administration, marketing, event organizing, fundraising, or if you're an auto electrician or mechanic experienced with Land Rover 110 Defender, we'd love to hear from you. Let's explore if we're a good match!

On a personal note, I'm also a recently qualified Hatha Yoga Instructor and TM Siddha. If you're an experienced yoga instructor and would like to join me for daily practice, meditation, and shared knowledge, please reach out.

Exciting times lie ahead, and I'm looking forward to building something extraordinary together. Send me a message if you're ready for this adventure!

    Accommodation

You would stay in some of lodge accommodation if available or in a tent with a bed, either set up at my home or at the lodge. Lodge accommodation is a dorm room, we would give this to you privately but if we have guests booked in the dorm we would move you to alternate accommodation.

We will provide 3 prepared meals or on occasion if it is busy we might give you ingredients for your meals and you would need to prepare them yourself.
