Description
I am Juan Carlos, my father and I are developing a project of ecotourism with focus on sustainable practices and conscious development . A large part of the project is dedicated to host yoga retreats/events with a vision to unite people and make space for spiritual growth.
Our farm is located in the highlands of Cartago which are perfect for agriculture. The location is close to Tapanti National Park which attracts an abundance of wild life to the area. Right now the farm is in the processes of construction. All the constructions (wood cabins) are made from pine wood gathered directly from our forest. Soon we are going to incorporate organic gardens and green houses to supply our restaurant with local, homegrown food. Later in the project we plan to raise different farm animals to make a sustainable production of foods such as eggs, milk and cheese.
This is an 80 hectare property which allows you to experience many different things in the area. There are lots of hiking trails to explore and also a small river crossing the property. It is also worth mentioning, that this is not the typical tropical climate that you would expect in Costa Rica. It is around 1600 meters of altitude so it's a cool climate with influence of rain and cloud-forest.
We are looking for people with sustainable knowledge in various fields, who can contribute with energy and great ideas. People who are openminded and openhearted.Types of help and learning opportunities

This is a rural area where people live very simple. You would experience the authentic Costa Rican culture around here. You can also do lots of hiking and enjoy the vegetation and the wildlife of the cloud forest.

This is a nice and remote area. You can spend your free time in nature, hiking, birdwatching and use the yoga shala for personal practice. If you are looking to get away, disconnect and relax for a while this is the place for you. The access in public transportation is very limited, but we offer pick ups from the city of Cartago.
We are very conscious about the environment and our surroundings, and like to live in a simple way. People staying here must have respect for nature and their beings.A little more information
