  We are looking for people who are really interested in learning to develop a self-sufficient life in the countryside mainly through the development of these activities:
  • goatherding and milking goats, as well as the production of cheese and other dairy products.
  • deal with horses.
  • Building.
  • Agricultural practices.
  *The dairy products we produce and the vegetable we grow are for our own consumtion.
  
  We are looking for people who can carry out certain daily practices with a certain autonomy and predisposition, such as making firewood with the chainsaw, cooking, or simply lending a hand in whatever is needed.
  
  We are Ines and Héctor, and we recently settled in the Redes natural park with the purpose of starting a project based on a self-sufficient, simple but beautiful life, in which everyone is welcome and any help is really appreciated.
  I, Ines, for several years lived in a village in Lugo, Galicia, where I had a farm with goats and for years people from all over the world came helping and experiencing my project through Workaway. The experiences were great! However, the grass became scarce and I decided to move to a more mountainous area, where the goats and the shepherds have more freedom. Héctor was already there, he has dedicated his whole life to horses and makes routes with them all over the mountain. We decided to unite our way of life, horses and goats, and start restoring a cabin in which we are planning to settle.

  Buscamos gente que esté realmente interesada en aprender a desarrollar una vida autosuficiente en el campo principalmente a través del desarrollo de estas actividades:
  • pastoreo y ordeño de cabras, así como la elaboración de quesos y otros productos lácteos.
  • trato con caballos.
  • Construcción.
  • Prácticas de agricultura.
  *Los productos lácteos que producimos y las hortalizas que cultivamos son para consumo propio.
  
  Asimismo, buscamos gente que pueda llevar a cabo ciertas prácticas cotidianas con cierta autonomía y predisposición, como hacer leña con la motosierra, cocinar, o simplemente echar una mano en lo que haga falta.
  Somos Ines y Héctor, y hace poco que nos instalamos en el parque natural de Redes con el propósito de iniciar un proyecto basado en una vida autosuficiente, simple pero hermosa, en la que todo el mundo es bienvenido y cualquier ayuda es realmente agradecida. Yo, Ines, hace poco vivía en una aldea de Lugo, en Galicia, donde tenía una granja con cabras y durante años vino gente de todo el mundo a través de Workaway ¡las experiencias fueron geniales!; no obstante, el pasto comenzó a escasear y decidí trasladarme a una zona más montañosa, donde las cabras y el pastor tienen mayor libertad. Allí ya estaba Héctor, que ha dedicado toda su vida a los caballos y hace rutas con ellos por toda la montaña. Decidimos unir nuestro modo de vida, caballos y cabras, y comenzar a restaurar una cabaña en la que poder asentarnos.

  Joining us in our project will be of great interest to those who want to learn about the different aspects of a life based on caring for animals, self-sufficient agriculture and construction. The project is always supported by two fixed people, us, Héctor and Ines, but there are always more people living with us who come from all over the world, from Japan to France. We have a lot of experience in hosting people and we have been on the platform for many years with magnificent experiences.

  Acompañarnos en nuestro proyecto será de gran interés para aquellas personas que quieran aprender acerca de los distintos aspectos de una vida basada en el cuidado de los animales, la agricultura autosuficiente y la construcción. El proyecto se sostiene siempre con dos personas fijas, nosotros, Héctor e Ines, pero siempre hay más gente conviviendo con nosotros que vienen desde todas las partes del mundo, desde Japón hasta Francia. Tenemos mucha experiencia en el hospedaje de gente y llevamos en la plataforma muchos años con magníficas experiencias.

  Unterkunft

  Right now we have two options to choose from: we have a cabin high up in the mountains that we are currently restoring. It is located in a really beautiful place, surrounded by tipis and individual tents that are available to sleep. On the other hand, near the cabin, there is the small town of Nieves, where we have a house in good condition with three rooms, a fireplace, a kitchen and a bathroom that can be freely used. Meals are provided.

  Ahora mismo disponemos de dos opciones a escoger: tenemos una cabaña en la montaña (zona en la que nos establecemos nosotros) que estamos restaurando. Está situada en un lugar realmente precioso, rodeada de tipis y tiendas de campaña individuales que están disponibles para dormir. Por otra parte, cerca de la cabaña, está el pequeño pueblecito de Nieves, donde tenemos una casa en buenas condiciones con tres habitaciones, chimenea, cocina y baño de los que se pueden disponer libremente. Se proporcionan comidas.

  If you like animals and work with them, if you feel restless and want to learn about an alternative way of life in the mountains, meet people and have the opportunity to travel, this is the perfect place.
  The closest airport is in the city of Oviedo, an hour from our house, from there there is a bus to the town of Pola de Laviana, where we can pick you up.

  Si te gustan los animales y trabajar con ellos, si sientes cierta inquietud y ganas de aprender sobre un modo de vida alternativo en la montaña, conocer gente y tener la oportunidad de viajar, este es el lugar perfecto.
  El aeropuerto más cercano está en la ciudad de Oviedo, a una hora de nuestra casa, desde allí hay un autobús al pueblo de Pola de Laviana, donde te podemos recoger.
