    Description

Come and join us at our beautiful Garden Station, in Langley on Tyne, Hexham. Cafe, Gardens, Woodland, Wellness, Healthy eating.

Well, life is changing for the Gregg's. We have sold the Bed and Breakfast in Kielder and will hopefully be full time at our other beautiful business in Langley on Tyne, Hexham. We have had this business for 7 years now and up until recently have run it with our Daughter who is moving on to become a Midwife. So we will be moving into the house on site.

The business is an event venue, i.e. we hold weddings, birthday parties etc., We are also developing our wellness side of the business which involves healthy food, fresh air, mindfulness, meditation. We hold a drum circle every month which is great fun and you will be more than welcome to join in. We have access to a beautiful woodland and of course we have our lovely garden which is made from an old Victorian railway track. The Cafe is in the old Victorian waiting room, its only small but very pretty. We are registered to hold weddings here.

So, the work would be varied , it would include, gardening, new project planting and preparing beds for growing vegetables and salads. cleaning in cafe and house, helping out when we have events , (these can be longer days but time off in lieu). Some cooking but no too much on the business side of things as we try to keep the food very simple and healthy.

our accommodation will be in the house, sharing with us, Jill and Terry, you will have use of the house kitchen and bathroom and tv, wifi and we will provide food. All you have to buy is your snacks etc., there is usually cake going spare too.

Occasionally we will need to visit Kielder as we have a property in the village which we are getting ready for sale, so there may be an opportunity to see Kielder Forest too.

So if you fancy time in the woodland and garden, we love being outdoors, please get in touch.

This will all start in June 2019

Oh and you will be sharing the house with our lovely dog Wolfee, a Lurcher Pointer Cross.

The daily tasks include help, cleaning, making beds, doing laundry, ironing, painting and general help. Spring and Summer months can be spent in the garden developing and keeping tidy.

Hours vary depending on guests, usually around 4 or 5 but plenty time off for exploring. We would expect visitors to help out at home to tidy and cook on occasion.

    What else ...

Kielder has the largest man made lake in Northern europe, to see it now you would think it has always been here. Nature has taken over and the wildlife in the area is abundant.
There is a 26mile path around the lake and in October we have 'the most picturesque marathon in England'

The watersports include sailing and water skiing there is a sailing club about 6 miles down the lake from Kielder village.

Large art pieces are scattered around Kielder such as the Sky Space on the way up to the observatory, the maize, and our favourite 'The Head' a large wooden head that you can climb inside, to name but a few.

We are just 3 miles from the Scottish Border.
