  🔵 Jorge and I, Angela, form a Colombian-Spanish couple and proud parents of two children. As therapists specializing in gestalt therapy and psychotherapy workshops, we are passionate about nature and travel. Our shared vision extends to the Ocelot project, situated in both Vega and Palomino, where our commitment is to conserve and nurture the land.
  
  This place is not just a farm; it's an immediate connection with nature and an ongoing transformation toward permaculture design principles. Nestled in the Vereda de San Antonio, 15 km from La Vega, it offers a tranquil escape just two hours from Bogotá. Shielded from common disturbances like parties and traffic, our farm boasts three chimneys, two streams, a pool, a natural reserve, and a serene environment ideal for meditation, yoga, or general exercise, with minimal mosquito presence.
  
  
  🟡 Jorge y yo, Angela, conformamos una pareja colombo-española y somos orgullosos padres de dos hijos. Como terapeutas especializados en terapia gestalt y talleres de psicoterapia, nos apasiona la naturaleza y los viajes. Nuestra visión compartida se extiende al proyecto Ocelote, ubicado tanto en Vega como en Palomino, donde nuestro compromiso es conservar y cuidar la tierra.
  
  No es solo una finca; es una conexión inmediata con la naturaleza y una transformación continua hacia los principios de diseño de la permacultura. Ubicado en la Vereda de San Antonio, a 15 km de La Vega, ofrece una escapada tranquila a solo dos horas de Bogotá. Resguardada de molestias comunes como fiestas y tráfico, nuestra finca cuenta con tres chimeneas, dos riachuelos, una piscina, una reserva natural y un entorno sereno ideal para la meditación, el yoga o el ejercicio en general, con presencia mínima de mosquitos.

  Help

  🔵 At the Finca, we are seeking specialized assistance in permaculture. The tasks encompass various activities, such as planting edible, medicinal, and native trees, maintaining trails and access roads in the reserve, caring for and grooming animals, general infrastructure maintenance, pool cleaning, and compost management.
  
  There are also more specialized tasks that we can discuss based on your skills. We are open to new ideas. Tell us! 😊
  
  
  🟡 En la Finca, estamos en busca de ayuda en permacultura. Las labores abarcan diversas actividades, como la siembra de plantas comestibles, medicinales y árboles nativos, el mantenimiento de senderos y vías de acceso en la reserva, el cuidado y aseo de los animales, el mantenimiento general de la infraestructura, la limpieza de la piscina y la gestión del compostaje.

  🟡 Nos gustaría recibir a voluntarios que puedan enseñar y practicar inglés y francés con mis hijos y la persona encargada de la finca. 🔵 We would like to welcome volunteers who can teach and practice English and French with my children and the caretaker of the farm.

  Accommodation

  🔵 The property comprises four structures: a main house and three additional cabins. Volunteers typically stay in one of the shared bunk rooms and have access to a communal bathroom and a shared kitchen. We like to do a one-week trial. From there, if both parties enjoy the experience and there is compatibility, we can discuss extending the stay.
  
  It's worth mentioning that at times, you may be the only volunteer on the project, alongside the worker and their family, while other times there may be additional volunteers. If you have a preference for either scenario, let us know, and we can provide more details on whether you'll have company or the property to yourself.
  
  
  🟡 La propiedad consta de cuatro construcciones: una casa principal y tres cabañas adicionales. Los voluntarios suelen alojarse en la casa principal, en una de las habitaciones compartidas con literas, con baño y cocina compartida. Para iniciar realizamos una semana de prueba. A partir de ahí, si ambos disfrutamos y hay compatibilidad, podemos hablar de más tiempo.
  
  Cabe mencionar que hay veces en las que serás el único voluntario en el proyecto, junto con el trabajador y su familia, y otras veces habrá otros voluntarios. Si tienes preferencia por alguna de las dos situaciones, déjanos saber, y podemos ofrecerte más detalles sobre si estarás acompañado o podrás disfrutar de la propiedad solo para ti.

  🔵 On the farm, there is a pool and two small streams where you can swim. Additionally, there are hiking trails and nearby projects to explore, along with some local restaruants if you're interested. You can also venture back to downtown La Vega for shopping or spend your free days in Bogotá.
  
  To reach farm, take transportation from the municipality of La Vega (Cundinamarca), specifically from a place called 'La Playa,' heading to Vereda San Antonio. Vehicles depart every hour from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Get off at the school, and you'll be just 300 meters away from living an experience in the heart of nature.
  
  
  🟡 En la finca hay una piscina y dos quebradas pequeñas donde se puede bañar. También hay caminatas y otros proyectos cercanos para visitar, así como algunos lugares de comida típica de la zona, por si les interesa. También pueden bajar de vuelta al centro de La Vega si quieren hacer compras o pasar los días libres en Bogotá.
  
  Para llegar a Finca, toma transporte desde el municipio de La Vega (Cundinamarca), específicamente en un lugar llamado 'La Playa', con destino a la Vereda San Antonio. Los vehículos salen cada hora desde las 8:00 am hasta las 3:00 pm. Se bajan en la escuela y estarán a solo 300 metros de vivir una experiencia en plena naturaleza.

  🟡 Ofrecemos internet inalámbrico en la casa principal, velocidades de 4 Mbps de descarga y 3 Mbps de carga. Ten en cuenta que es una zona rural y puede haber cortes de energía ocasionales, por lo general, no superan una hora. 🔵 We offer wireless internet in the main house, speeds 4 Mbps/3 Mbps. Remember this is a rural area, occasional power outages may occur, typically not exceeding one hour.

  Space for parking camper vans

  🟡 Tenemos un espacio de estacionamiento relativamente grande, donde debería caber la mayoría de campervans. Tomen en cuenta que la calle de acceso está en lastre y puede dificultar la subida de los vehículos. Idealmente deberían tener doble tracción. 🔵 We have a relatively spacious parking area where most campervans should fit. Please note that the access road is gravel, which may pose challenges for vehicles, so having four-wheel drive is ideal.

  Can possibly accept pets

  🟡 Estamos abiertos a recibir mascotas. Las mascotas pequeñas que pesen menos de 10 kilogramos pueden ingresar a la habitación, pero no deben dormir en las camas ni subirse a los sillones. Las mascotas grandes deben dormir afuera. Es ideal que los dueños traigan una cama o jaula para sus mascotas. Además, no se debe dejar a la mascota sola en la propiedad si los dueños salen. 🔵 We are open to receiving pets. Small pets weighing less than 10 kilograms are allowed in the room but should not sleep on the beds or climb on the sofas. Larger pets are required to sleep outside. It is ideal for owners to bring a bed or cage for their pets. Additionally, pets should not be left alone on the property if the owners go out.
