Beschreibung
We are retired teachers. We inherited a large family property with several buildings and a large field. We are nature lovers and we decided to create a park (arboretum) and we take care of it. We also produce organical vegetables and fruits, but we do not make breedings. We are not vegetarians, but we are very careful about the quality of our supplies : we are members of an AMAP, "voisins de panier" to buy local organic food to complete our production. If you are vegetarians, it's not a problem, but it's difficult for us to host vegans. We don't host volunteers with dog(s).
Paul is also involved in a workshop of wood and a blog on the internet. Pascaline is interested in writing. We both play music and we work together a lot in the park. The house is large and well appointed and the last few years we do hosting also couchsurfers and bewelcomers. We really appreciate getting to know all kinds of people. It was a real exchange : we helped those who wanted to learn French according to our abilities...
House, garden, park, carpentry... all this gives us a lot of work. Not being very young, we seek help from time to time for all kinds of work related to our business, and also house keeping.
So we seek helpers with different kinds of skills, but we prefer man or woman with some experience. It's impossible for us to teach everything to every person we get and gardening is not always easy! We ask 3 or 4 work hours a day (depending on efficiency and needs ; this schedule can change depending of the weather... It'possible there's little work one day but much the next day (during summer it's more regular). We can discuss about this schedule and some arrangements are possible.
The house is located 60km from Lyon, Chambéry 50km, 70km from Grenoble.
There are railways stations at Bourgoin (20 km) and La Tour du Pin (18 km). If you like cycling, the "via rhona" (cycling track) passes a few kilometers from the house.

The house is in a small hamlet in the countryside, in a pleasant environment, close to the Jura, Savoy, the Alps (Chartreuse), and many tourist attractions are possible. We are ready to help those we host to discover the region known as "Bas-Dauphiné". You give us a little part of your time ; we do the same if it's possible... During the free time, we prefer you to be as independant as possible.
It's a good place for writing, reading, painting... There is an important library at home !
Arbeit
On summer 2023, we need help to mow the grass and maintain the flowers and vegetables gardens, to arrange green areas. We have also a lot of painting projects to do (outside !) Experienced gardeners and handymen (and women) are welcome! We need help also to pick and process fruits and vegetables
