We're happy people who chose to start a hostel in Wigtown Scotland's cultural book town. Our philosophy is based on travelling, although instead of moving we have the travelers visit us.
We have been on the road a couple of times and have worked in different hostels and hotels around Europe for more than 6 years. We have recently settled here in the centre of Wigtown which is Scotland's national book town. A town of around 1000 people surrounded by beautiful coutryside. We are looking for Workawayers to bring an international atmosphere to our surroundings

Helping with Tourists
We want you to share your experience of travelling with the guests.
Other than having fun, some stuff has to be properly done such as check in and check out of guests, housekeeping (changing bed sheets, doing laundry, cleaning the rooms and bathrooms), socializing and serving the guests in the cafe.
During the low season November - March we are only looking for one person, so looking for a happy, confident solo traveller, who is happy in nature, books (we have thousands you can browse and borrow) and their own company.
This host offers accommodation and payment.
We are based in Scotland's National book Town full of book shops, art galleries and surrounded by national forests, wild countryside and nature. The town has a great mix of groups from art classes to yoga, scots language and tai chi.
You can get great experience in many fields, including how to run a tourist venue so eventually you might open your own. ;)
You can become good at organizing events and leading people, getting many useful and memorable connections from all around the world.
You can learn about Scottish traditions and food and try vegan haggis !
