    Description

My children and me moved to a little farm in the countryside of Lakselv last year. We've got settled a bit by now and can concentrate on outside-projects while the sun never goes down.

My vision is an arctic permaculture farm with vegetables, berries, dairysheep and maybe some fishing. Our farm is situated on the east side of the Porsanger Fjord between a little hill on the east side and the beach on the west side.

    About us:

We are Svenja (german), Amra and Sofi (our twin-girls, 9 years old) and Björn and Nils (our twin-boys, 7 years old). The kids are both german and norwegian.
I (Svenja) grew up on our farm in Germany (where we startet this workawayprofile). After school I was working and traveling in Iceland and Norway for about 4 years. While I was travelling I worked with handicapped people on a farm, broke in horses, was helping in the lambing season, worked on a fishing boat and later I worked as physiotherapist.

    Why do I do workaway?

I love travelling and I love having a farm. Both is not easy to combine. Having workawayers at your home is almost like travelling yourself. I like Workaway as a way of experiencing new places, people, and ways of life on the one hand and the new ideas and influences on the other.
I enjoy evenings at the campfire with you as well as your company in general.
Well, and of course farm and kids are lot of work. So I appreciate your help very much!

There's a lot of nature and wildyou can enjoy here. You can have campfires, go hiking, borrow my bike, car, atv or try riding the snowmobile in winter. If you happen to have the size in skishoes as me or my children, you can go cross-country skiing in winter as well.
And of course the is the midnight sun in summer and the northern lights in winter!
