We are Michelle and Motty
Located in Davie, Florida
We raise chickens, goat and sheep.
We produce eggs, chicken meat, goat milk, yogurt, cheese, honey, and vegetables.
We have local volunteers that help as well as host volunteers on the farm.
We live on the farm in a small RV with our dog Lucy, Gilbert (goat kid), and a lamb named Boots.
We host our volunteers in a separate room on the farm with two bunk beds. We provide an outdoor shower, composting toilet and outdoor kitchen.
We love to educate our volunteers about organic farming. We will teach you everything we’ve learned about raising dairy goats, raising chickens for both eggs and meat, and starting a garden.
We are in need of help with weeding, harvesting and mulching from the garden seasonally when there is a garden. We are in the process of moving so we need help moving our farm equipment etc. from one location to another. We need help moving wire fences and taking down tents. We will spend time showing volunteers how to care for the animals but farm chores will not be part of the regular daily activities. You must be ok with being outdoors for a large part of the day and be able to lift at least 50 pounds. We butcher chickens 1 day a week for meat. You are not expected to help with this process unless you are interested.
