    Description

    Kia ora :)

*** Please read everything but here's the main info ***
We prefer 1 or 2 people with their own transport
We don't provide meals (but there is less work!) and ask that no meat is cooked in the cabin
There's no phone reception and limited electricity and internet, but there is a great cafe with wifi and reception 5 mins away at Kuaotunu village - Lukes Kitchen.

We're Mike & Jai and we've got a beautiful bit of land in Kuaotunu in a valley of native bush, with a private waterfall and kiwi nearby... it's paradise! We're also a short drive from the best beaches in the Coromandel.

The profile photos are a few years old now!

We're offering free accommodation in return for helping out with gardening and building etc. We ask for 2 hours of help per day or half a day's work then one day off... we're really flexible.

You will have your own private cabin that has 1 double bed, a single fold out bed and a basic kitchen. There's no fridge but we can provide a chilly bin with icepacks and you're welcome to use our freezer too. There's a little private area outside under cover with a hot water shower and compost toilet. It's a very rustic cabin but it's clean has character!

We live next door in our yurt and tiny house.

This is accommodation only, not meals - we're plant based (and we're often out too)

We can host 2 people max, and we prefer people who are clean and tidy :)
You will need your own transport.
It's also a couple of minutes walk through the bush from the carpark so you need to carry food etc up.

Being in the NZ bush we do have insects and rats, possums etc around... but we keep the cabin really clean and there is trapping being done in the valley so it's not usually an issue.

If you have any questions please get in touch :)
