First of all thank you very much for having come across our profile, clicked on it and please take your time to read into what our values, family and the farm are all about.
We are a sightseeing farm that mainly picking cherries.
Our farm has been raising cherries carefully and supplying various processed products for more than 50 years. Under the spirit as craftsmanship we work a lot: making the soil fertile, cutting grass, conditioning of trees, organic fertilizing, waterproofing with sheets―all for extra-fine cherries, which thankfully won awards.
To our absolute pleasure, the number of visitors from home and abroad has been on the rise, we think which is due principally to their understanding for our work and spirit. At picking and tasting our cherries they have shown their satisfied smiles with all their hearts; we are proud of the visitors’ satisfaction.
On the contrary, we also have been suffering from a lack of hands, which now makes things difficult to maintain the quality of our work and products.
We expect learning everything of anyone who works in our farm.
A lot of things to farm cherries are necessary, and the farming requires its progress in technology and information aspects; thus our farm has become a member of Japan Organic Agriculture Association (JOAA). The treasured land turned over to us has to be kept fertile and be the most precious field, which is our duty. Hence we employ anything seemingly effective such as microbial substances, organic fertilizer, wood vinegar, deep ocean water, and even classical music―agricultural chemicals are strictly minimized.
Our mottos are as follows:
”Raise Smiles” ”Good times” ”Delights” and ”Workers”
Those are accomplished when customers and we collaborate with each other; thus we put our energy into especially raising ourselves for the collaborating. It is obviously a very good opportunity for you to know the culture of us through working together, and vice versa.

I will explain about the cultivation of cherries.
During the winter (from January to March), the size of the cherry blossoms is as small as the size of rice grains.
During winter, they absorb enough moisture from the rain and snow and start swelling to be three times bigger size by the middle of April as it gets warmer.
In early April, we manually thinner 20 to 40% of flower buds from each branch. All work is done manually and it is completely impossible to use machines that do this kind of work.
By blooming only the remaining buds, you can grow good flowers and big fruits. When doing this work you need to be careful to leave a leaf sprout that can be seen immediately next to flower buds.
From the end of May to the beginning of June, we will clearly understand the amount of cherry fruit. And we have to change the proportions for each varieties and thin out the fruits once again. Actually it is big and the sugar content also becomes high by culling.
We will harvest from July to August. We do not harvest all the fruits at once, only the fruits that are red and ripened are taken. So we harvest the same trees many times every few days.
However, the harvest actually harvested is high in sugar content, it is big, the taste is the best delicious.
By all means,Please join us! And, We would like you to eat cherries that have become verydelicious by the hard work!!
Looking forward to meet you!!
This host offers accommodation and payment.
Japanese and A little English. English is generally spoken among workawayers. However, because other Japanese staffs cannot speak much English, it is preferable for those who can speak a little Japanese, or those who are interested in studying the languag
There are dorms in our farm, so we will prepare accommodation there. If the room is vacant, we can prepare a private room for you. Shared bathroom, washing machine and fridge are also in the dormitory.
There are two houses and one large room is in one building. There is 3 large rooms in the other building. Because it depends on the number of people, I can not say exactly, but in the case of my family I will live in a house with three rooms. Even women alone will live in a three-room house. In the case of only men, they will live in a big house of one room. In the case of a couple, they will live in a house of three rooms. Each building has a kitchen, a bath, and a toilet.
Depending on the number of people, I think that a house with a large room where men live will become a shared room.
Also, there are possibilities that a house with 3 rooms will become a shared room if there are many people. I will make efforts so that my family and couples will not become rooms with other people as much as possible. Contact us for more details.
The room that you will stay is simple and we sleep in futons, when you depart, please vacuum the floor, put the used sheets, futon cover and pillow case into the linen room and place with a new one to the next workawayers, if you are leaving earlier in the morning please wake up earlier. No trash inside the room, if you will leave any clothes or any other item please place in to the garbage bin, Do not leave it inside the room.
We look forward to meeting MOTIVATED, RESPECTFUL, CREATIVE & HELPFUL work-away travelers !
