    Description

Hi! My name is Abdalsalam and I am a Bedouin guide living in Wadi Rum Village in the beautiful Wadi Rum Desert. I have been a guide in Wadi Rum for seven years now, leading Jeep Tours, Camel Tours, and teaching people about the Bedouin way of life. I'm looking for volunteers now to share my home with, in exchange for help managing my company's online presence, mostly with international communication.

Whether you're a student, on working holiday, or enjoying your retirement, there is much to explore, learn, and enjoy here in the desert. This is also a great opportunity to develop skills and understanding about small business management dealing with an international client base.

We are looking for volunteers to give us a hand managing our communication with clients. This largely involves helping us to communicate with our guests in English via email and looking over our social media and review aggregator accounts.

    Accommodation

You will stay primarily in the village with my family, but there will be lots of opportunities to stay out in the desert at our Bedouin camp, either in a traditional goat fur tent or just out under the stars.

There is much to do outside Wadi Rum as well. The village serves as an excellent starting point for seeing the many sights of Jordan, made available through the tour buses that all leave from the Wadi Rum Visitor Center. To get to Wadi Rum, the least expensive flights usually run out of Amman. To get here from Amman a taxi costs about 90 JD and a bus is only 20JD.
