  Greetings Workawayers. My name is Jason and I own an eco lodge/vacation rental on the beautiful Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica and property in Northern Arizona where we run adventure tours in some of the most naturally amazing and beautiful places on Earth. The Caribbean Costa Rica location is close to Puerto Viejo a vibrant reggae infused town filled with arts, crafts, culture, and positive vibes. We are also very close to some of the most beautiful beaches Costa Rica has to offer. We have guests from around the globe coming down to experience the natural beauty and wildlife of CR. We try our best to help them have the most exciting and memorable adventure possible during their stay on the Caribbean. The Location is quite magical, very close to local shops, a safe area,Walking or riding distance from most places. In the garden it is normal to see a plethora of wildlife with the Howler Monkeys howling early morning for your alarm to the Toucans coming into the yard for a bite of the fresh papayas or other fruits. Sloths seems to be our number one visitor as they eat the leaves of many of our garden trees. Less than a block away you can collect fresh coconuts and harvest the water to drink, and make some nice homemade CoCo Oil. Workawayers will be expected to put in 3-5 hours on weekdays (sometimes more, sometimes less) depending on weather, guests,high or low season, and jungle variables. Weekends and lots of free time off to explore. Work will be consisting mostly of yard work/cleaning and preparing for guests arrival/basic property management/taking care of the lovely Princess Kitty (Bean) and of course to enjoy and have the time of your life in one of the most magical and natural environments on earth. (: Meals are not included however there are often Papayas and various blooms in the yard and area, along with local fresh fish and markets near by and a great local farmers market in town every Saturday to get some healthy eats. I am a strong believer in the idea that helping people create positive life experience and life long memories far outweighs any and ALL materialistic gifts created by the monetary system. <3 life, and live it to the fullest.

  Here at Casa Mandala we enjoy to have people from around the world visit and create a cool and culturally diverse atmosphere to share art, visions, and life expereince. At times the entire house is filled with people from just about every background at the same time which always creates an amazing vibe, there are other times when the season is more slow and those times are also very special to fine tune things around the property for the next wave of adventure lovers. We encourage and support all walks of life and enjoy providing an environment where we can all learn from one another and create some magical memories while taking care of business and upkeep on the homes as well.

  Looking for self motivated volunteers with a drive and passion for adventure. Most of the duties consist of property upkeep/management/basic building/painting/gardening/light labor and detailed cleaning for guests arrival. We are looking for a min time of 2 weeks up to 1 month+ with the possibility to extend if everything is positive and productive. Qualification and or previous experience are helpful, but not essential. The main concern is to be responsible, positive, a happy human with open mind and ready for some great new experiences. We are happy to work with all lovers of furry critters, life, love and cultural diverse positive people from all walks of life all over the world.. (: come visit (:

  There are a tremendous amount of activities to enjoy here on the Caribbean. Zip Line, White Water Rafting, Bike Rides, Jungle Tours, World Class Surf, Live Music, Horse Riding, Sea Kayaking , Diving, Snorkeling, Jaguar Rescue Center, Cahuita National Park, Yoga, Massage, Eco Retreats, Waterfalls, and the list just keeps going ! or you can swing on a hammock watching the critters until the sunsets (or rises) (: It is quite normal after the works are done, we organize road trips to further destinations like the Hot Springs, Emerald Blue Waters of Rio Celeste, or closer by to the White water rapids and other amazing places in CR.
