Before you read more: We would prefer a female volunteer, as we are a family with kids . I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEBODY WHO CAN STAY minimum one month.

We are family living centrally in Akureyri (the Capital of North). We are Ragna Valdís and Herbert and four children; Blædís Björt (2002) 21 years old (she is moving abroad in August 2023), Amanda Ösp (2006) 17 years old, Sebastían Smári (2011) 11 years old and Jónatan Blær (2013) 9 year old. I (Ragna Valdís) is an occupational therapist working flexible hours during the day at the hospital in Akureyri. Herbert is working in Reykjavík in road administration.
We enjoy being outdoors in the nature, dancing, listening to music etc. We also like to enjoy good food together as a family.
There's never a quiet moment around us, so if you don't like action our home would not be there place. We are interested in meeting new people and so we would like to get to know a workawayer. We are flexible and solution oriented :)

The work awayer would get to experience the typical busy Icelandic family-life with lots of fun and action. We could help our work-awayer with their travel, advise them of interesting places to see in the area and try to make their journey as fun and exciting as we can.

Help
We need some assistance in our home to help with the children and basic household tasks such as cooking and other daily tasks of a large household. We need an extra set of hands around the house, I (Ragna V) is living alone with the kids. It would mostly be help with cleaning the house, cooking, shopping for food and preparing dinner in the evenings. Also in the afternoon/evenings getting the kids in some activity and getting them to bed time. But the workawayer would also have quite a bit of time for themselves. I am very flexible and now we have good experience after having had many Workawayer from different land.

Accommodation
We live in a good apartment central located in Akureyri. There are four bedrooms and one bathrooms, a good living room etc. We can give a better description of the house and some pictures in private facebook messages.
What else ...
Akureyri is a small town in the North of Iceland, very beautiful with a population of 18.000 people. Akureyri has several swimming pools, nice restaurants, bars and shops. The bus runs for free every day. There is much to see in our area. There would also be the opportunity to get to know other workawayers and have plenty of free time to explore the area.
