Help a family get their property ready for spring in Veron, France

  Description

  We are an English couple living in Burgundy, central France. Having had a year of unexpected health challenges, we are very behind in preparing our property (a large site with three residences and a workshop) for a new tenant arriving in the spring and need help to catch up.
  
  In exchange for 21 hours work per help (over three days) of general DIY and clearing up, we are offering free accommodation in a private, cosy, one-bedroom apartment (includes lounge/diner/kitchen, double bedroom with en-suite) plus an allowance for food, free Wifi and electricity.
  
  We are based in a Burgundy village just a few minutes from the train line to Paris (1 hour away by train). Two other apartments on site are occupied (by English/French speakers who work in the on site motorhome rental business and there is a steady flow of international visitors). The village has a grocery shop, two bars, a Doctor's surgery, bakery and gym. The nearest big town is the cathedral city of Sens which is 10 minutes by car or 30 minutes on a bike (we have lots of bikes and you would be welcome to use them).
  
  We will provide all the tools and materials, you just need to be fit and able and come with enthusiasm! No restrictions on age or nationality but STRICTLY NO SMOKERS AND NO PETS.
  
  Duties will mainly include painting, decorating and rearranging/clearing up to prepare for the spring.

  We are in the French countryside surrounded by many cultural and typically French experiences. Everyone on site speaks fluent English too so if you need to improve your English we are happy to help with that as well as immersion into French village life in beautiful Burgundy.

  Burgundy is in the heart of France and just one hour by train from Paris with our neighbouring regions of Champagne and The Loire Valley close by. We are literally surrounded by interesting French culture and history with stunning countryside all around us including The River Yonne and The Foret d'Othe region. The Burgundy wine region is just 30 mins south of our property. Some additional, paid work is available if desired.
