Description
We breed mostly quarter horses and ride western. In summer we milk sheep, make yoghurt and cheeses. We are small family. We train horses and have horse assisted self-development workshops. During and after covid we have been closed for new volunteers. Right now, we are opening again to have new people comming to our place. You will sleep in our dorm (one big room, several beds) by yourself or with other pieople, cook for yourself from the product that we provide (our cheese and honey included, also vegetables in season). We ask for 5h of work 5 days a week with 2 days off but not on Sunday if possible, coause our regular employee needs a day off too. Sometimes we have an open day on Sunday and we need all the help we can get.
I will not give you ridding lessons but if we get on well, I cen get you on a horse once and teach you a little bit about working with young horses from the ground. Sometimes work is picking grapes or weeding the garden and sometimes it is mucking the stable, cleaning storage or milking sheep. It will never be phisically too demanding for you.
I practise qigong daily, so you can join me, if you want. I also walk a lot and can use company.Types of help and learning opportunities
