    Long-term volunteer in search!

Focused on simple volunteer coordination and gardening,
We are searching for one commited volunteer to stay for a time of minimum 3 months and dive into the core of community. We are hoping to have more hands in our team to make the most out of our project and the piece of land. If you have experience in volunteering, team building or coordiating projects and are ready for taking responsibility this one is for you. Creativity, organizing & communication skills and a humble attitude are traits we are looking for.

The focus of these positions will be in coordinating of our short-term volunteers and garden work for example taking care of emails, welcoming & guiding new people into our routine, sharing and creating a more systematic approach to our seasonal- and daily tasks, planting, weeding, watering and taking care of our plants.

This position offers you to gain experience in team building and organizing, living off the land with the principles of permaculture, thai traditions and much more. We ask you to pay for the time of a trial period which is one month and after an agreement on staying from both sides the rest of the time will be without a fee.

Apply for this position with a compact email describing yourself and your previous experience and we'll get in touch with you.

Tacomepai is a traditional organic farm based on the permaculture principles. We are located 6km south of Pai between the mountains and the rice fields. The main goal of Tacomepai farm is to develop sustainable techniques of growing rice and vegetables with the least input possible, with no ploughing, fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides used. We want to keep it simple and learn how it all happens without having out hands too much involved. We are also in the proces of building living areas while experimenting with different techniques how to make each one unique and fun (mudhouse, bamboo house, tree house,...)

Tacomepai was reopened in July 2017 after a break. We want to exchange and share cultural knowledge with foreigners and teach thai traditions to young thai kids drifting away from their roots.

Tacomepai is set on 20 acres of land with food forests of mango, banana, papaya, starfruit, bamboo, jackfruit, tamarind, lime, longan, coffee, mangosteen, rambutan and many more, vegetable gardens on contour, rice paddies and ponds.

We welcome volunteers all year around. As a volunteer you will be staying in simple accomodation around our beautiful farm. You will have all your meals provided. All of our food is vegan and most of it comes from the farm.

We will cook together and learn about Thai cuisine. To give the volunteers the best experience we are currently taking 7 people at a time. We ask for a contribution of 200 bath per night.

Please note, we are not a tourist attraction. Because we are a functioning farm we expect volunteers to be committed and interested in our philosophy.

We do not allow any drugs.

We are looking forward to meeting you and exchanging our cultures and ideas!
