    Description

We have just started to turn the little meadow next to our house into a permaculture garden. We have planted 15 fruit trees and many berry bushes, created hill beds for veggies and a chicken coop. We constructed two greenhouses out of old windows, put up a yurt for yoga and orher activities, made a fireplace, and a swing out of paletts to sunbathe. Still, we have soooo many plans what should be the next elements to be added and cultivated. A dome greenhouse full of cucumber, a larger compost of course, a few sheep, a cave for fierce dragons and princesses, a ninja training slack line trail ? Depending on whom you ask, they of course all have priority :)
Right now we are 3 families working on the project, living in 2 houses next to each other on the edge of town.

We are looking for people to help us with the project, who are interested in permaculture, beekeeping, organic self sustained living and outdoor fun.
Between March to October, you can stay in the large (unheated) garden house, with its own toilet and sink. During winter, we can find space in the main house, but maybe only for shorter stays.

Please do not ask to come with a dog, that is not possible, unfortunately.

    Help

Besides working on the various projects in the garden, you will have to help with cleaning (your own room most of all) and it would be fantastic if you could help out with cooking or looking after the kids (born 2014 and 2016) sometimes.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Osterholz-Scharmbeck is a smallish city where you can find everything you need, including some basic entertainment such as a nice indoor swimming pool and a small cinema. It does not offer any night-life I am aware of, and on a scale for city vibes going from vibrant to sleepy it is definitely more on the sleepy side.

There are bicycles you can use to ride into town or to explore the Teufelsmoor ( a region of bog and moorland) that starts right at our doorstep.

The train station is only a 10 minute walk away, so we are easy to reach and Bremen city is only 15 Minutes by train away.
