Two guys - (Spanish/English), in Asturias, Northern Spain, growing own food where possible, seek a volunteer for gardening, small construction projects and general maintenance. Near the coast and the Picos mountains, nearest town, Ribadesella. All the photographs are local to our home.
A great area for walking and nature but little nightlife and limited transport links.
We have two cats, we are vegetarian and we are only looking for one volunteer at a time.
Help in the house
An opportunity to experience rural Spain with English/Spanish speaking hosts. Asturias is unspoilt and very beautiful, a great place to see how Celtic culture has shaped the traditions and folklore of this region in Spain.
We are seeking a self-motivated individual who can use his/her own initiative and who can contribute to our daily lives and routine. We expect you to help clean and to keep your room in good order. If you can cook vegetarian food we would love you to cook from time to time.
Projects on the go include: construction of storage shelter, repairing retaining wall, general gardening duties - if it's wet - painting internal woodwork and walls in garage/studio.
Also - looking for a well-informed and experienced music producer who can find his/her way around midi, DAWs and synths - someone who can help me further my music production.
Message for more details.
Own room and bathroom, wifi, all meals provided (vegetarian).
Near to the beautiful coastline and beaches, not far from the Picos de Europa mountains. On the northern route for the Camino de Santiago. Very quiet area (Village) with few tourists out of season. We are both creative people and involved with mosaics, writing, crafts and electronic music.
There are two airports within 1hour 15 mins: Santander and Asturias Airport (Aviles). There are buses and trains to our nearest towns: Ribadesella and Llanes.
We cannot promise to keep you entertained 24/7 so expect a degree of self-reliance and independence. The weather in Asturias can be mixed - it is very green and beautiful but that is due to heavy but short-lived rain. We enjoy walking and volunteers are welcome to join us. We don't promise to teach languages but being English/Spanish, we can help where necessary.
Please note: we are gay but straight friendly.....:-)
