Description
Now we need someone starting 1st or 2nd of October 2023 until the end of June 2024 (you are also wellcome to stay longer and join us to spend holidays with us at the beach in the summer of 2024). We can accept however someone from 1st October until Christmas Eve if you are really a very nice person.
A NICE AND HAPPY PERSON (English, German, Corean, French, Japanese, Chinese ETC NATIVE SPEAKERS) for a helper (taking children to School and pick them up) in centre of Madrid, Spain
PLEASE, TO AVOID MISSUNDERSTANDING, READ CAREFULLY OUR PROFILE. NOT LESS THAN 3 MONTHS STAY.
We have wellcome British, Americans, Germans, Nepalis, Austrian, sometimes for a month, others for 1 year. All of them were very nice experience!!
We have family and friends in the south of Spain, so you will have the opportunity to know other cities with us.
All the meals are covered and you will have a private small room with a bed , window, wardrobe and a desk in the centre of Madrid city.
Madrid is well communicated with the rest of Spain (by car and train) and whole Europe (by airplane). You can travel at weekends and know new cities if you wish. We need you to take children to school in the mornings and pick them from school (close from our home on foot).
We open our home and our family, so we do NOT accept visitors-helpers who are not interested in children and our family. We need someone not only that really love children but also has already EXPERIENCE. We had already marvellous people who (and their family) we are still in touch with! but we also had some people who used us as a hotel and just wanted to see the city. Pedagogy studies, or children teaching are very valuable. We have 10 years experience welcoming people at home.
We are a Spanish family of 4 (mom, girl of 11, boys of 9 and 7). We are used to having foreign friends, visitors and even aupairs, for we have been living in different countries. We love international cooking and be out and making plans. We live in a green piece of Madrid city and very, very in the centre, a privileged place! We would like a person who can speak THEIR MOTHER TONGUE to our children, someone nice and happy to interact some hours a day with my children (who speak already fluently English, German and Spanish). We are open to other languages: French, Corean, Japanese, Chinese and etc. Keen on developing pedagogic skills? It would be perfect if you could teach our daughter to read IN YOUR LANGUAGE
:) No worry if you don't speak a word of Spanish. If you like playing with children and have interest in our culture, we will help you to integrate and with the language. Futhermore, Mom has been a Spanish teacher for foreigners. Madrid is a great city and we live in the centre! we expect to wellcome you soon and be part of our family for a while and friend forever :)

Mom has been a Spanish teacher for foreigners for many years. If you have interest in learning Spanish or getting an oficial Spanish certificate even if you don't have previous knowledge of Spanish you can stay a bit longer with us and sit an oficial exam in Madrid.
Depending or your profile (nursery teachers and people with realky experience with children ( we could help you with the transport so that you can move in the city (specially in your free time). Mom also takes care to find you Spanish lessons in case you are interested and you stay longer.
We have shared great moments with our aupairs and foreign visitors..... also with their families. We really enjoy workawayers who are interested in learning and helping.

Help
GERMAN, ENGLISH, COREAN, JAPANESE, FRENCH (Any foreign language whenever it is your mother tongue) help for our children and teach our daughter to read and write (in your language?). Pedagogical knowledge is very valuable. Patiente and experience with children are required. Please, we are looking for someone who has already experience with children, not only that you have cousins and has taken cared of them from time to time. We expect that you know songs and games in your own language and definitively that you are able to manage with three children. Though mom will be there it can be that you are alone for a while with my three children some hours a week. They are 11, 9 and 7. So patience and experience are really requirements.
Patience and willness of having fun with children and share family moments. Please no people under 21 years old or without children experience. We need you from Monday to Friday in the afternoon and occasionally it could be Saturdays in the morning. From Saturday 2pm to Monday 3pm you are free to travel or enjoy your time in the city. If you need some Saturdays totally free to travel around is not a problem at all, I am flexible. We can adapt to each other.
A NATIVE SPEAKER OF ENGLISH/GERMAN/COREAN/ JAPANESE/ FRENCH/ ITALIAN or any other foreign language for us. We speak Spanish as mother tongue but we all speak fluently English and German. Children have just few communication in French and mom speaks also Italian.
You are not expected to do the cleaning at all (not as a house keeper or so but just to collaborate, as children do, in cleaning your room and share normal light household as you probably do at your home). However, as part of the family, we also expect you to be a clean person and keep your things in order as much as you try to keep common places of the house clean as you find it. We are not obsessive people of cleaning but we appreciate you to be a tidy and clean person.

I have been working as a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language. I am used to correct others (speaking, essays) and I am able to explain grammar. I am specialised in really beginners students of Spanish. I can also push you to find free good courses of Spanish for foreigners. If you are able to teach your own language to my children, you are funny and nice with children, you are Wellcome. If you stay at least 6 months with us I will help you to pass an offitial Spanish exam for foreigners. No less than 3 months stay are accepted, please.
Accommodation
You will have your own room, of course, with heater, wardrove, desk and window with mountains sight (see in our profile). We live by the river Manzanares (the river of Madrid) and 5 minutes away from a big commercial centre and 15 minutes by bus from Puerta del Sol, Madrid's heart. We can send you pictures.
All meals are included.
We are not vegetarians or vegan but we have no problem if you are. We will provide enough vegetables and fruit. We cook mediterrean food but also international dishes. We backe our own bread whenever possible and love ecological things (when we find reasonable prices). We cook and eat warm everyday. Dishes of your country will be wellcome.
Wi-Fi 24h for free, don't worry.
We do not accept pets, smokers or your visits at home.
What else ...
We need your help to take children to school in the morning and pick them up later. One evening babysitting (Friday or Saturday but seldom). If you organise your time you will be free to visit Madrid city, attend your Spanish lessons, make sport... You will be always off at weekends unless you join us for any family plan you like (not compulsory but Wellcome if you want to come to a trip).
We understand that you also need your peace and "Ruhe" so we are not going to be on you 24 hours a day but we expect from you to spend some family time, eating with us and being a member of our family.
We don't expect visits at home of our volunteers. However if you would like to stay longer (6 months or so) and you have boyfriend, girlfriend or family visits unfortunately we have no place for them at home but we can help you to locate them in a very near and cheap hotel.
