Presently we are looking for female Workawayers to help in our home. We are open for guests to come:
AVAILABILITY STARTING JANUARY 1ST, 2019:)
We are a Husband and Wife team and have six awesome kids. We have two children in school and three that are under school age. We are actively involved with sports, seasonal activities, church, and regular day to day pursuits.
We live in Cowichan Lake, British Columbia. Our abode is right on the lake, so you'll be able to enjoy many on water activities, such as kayaking and paddle boarding. It is close to all the amenities and bus stop. There are many things to do right here from our place. Also, there are walking trails right across our street. Every Wednesday there is a organized hiking group that carpools around to the local hiking highlights. They have a schedule that can be seen online. They are very accommodating to Travelers and the meeting location is only a 15 minute walk from our home.
I would also like to mention that we mostly eat wheat and dairy free. I do most of the cooking, as I know the families dietary needs. We eat well, plenty, and healthy! I would love it if someone could help in the kitchen preparing meals.
We are looking for people who love children and are looking for a beautiful get away to a semi-remote place. We are not partier, smokers, or drinkers and don't judge people for what they do- we are raising a young family and want to set good examples for our kids. Presently, we are doing a lot of Spring cleaning and are looking for people who are able to help with simple cleaning tasks.
Babysitting / child care
Cooking / shopping
Help in the house
Areas of help needed:
Help with kids
General house keeping

We have a cozy home on the Lake. A private room will be provided for our Workawayer.
A 15 minute walk away there is a local bus that comes through. Our town has a library and a skating rink. There are many recreational things to do in Cowichan Lake, as it is surrounded by mountains. There is the Trans Canada Trail and we have a bike that can be used. This trail is well maintained and fairly level. Also, there is a lot of mountain hiking here. A few hours from us, down a logging road, is the Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park that has some of the world's largest trees. There are many attractions to mention, but I will stop there. Looking forward to meeting new people from around the world!
