Description
Help run our bar and guest house
Our place is a new beach resort in Winneba in the central region of Ghana between Accra and Cape Coast. We have rooms to rent, a beach bar, a big sound system and a stage for events. It is run by Judah a Ghanain Rastafarian and Caroline a British born Actress and Musician. Winneba is a vibrant university town . You will live by the beach and enjoy the sun, sea and sand, go to sleep with the sound of the ocean waves and wake up to the sun rising over the sea.
We are looking for hard working, open minded, patient work aways who have a good understanding of different cultures. You will be working along side Ghanaians and will be expected to follow the Ghanaian work ethos which can be a bit different from what you are accustomed to. You might be required to wake up early in the morning as cleaning and daily tasks are often done before the sun gets too hot.
All work away applicants will be required to do a minimum of 4 weeks.Types of help and learning opportunities

We need people to help us keep our beach clean, , clean the rooms and prepare for the guest in the morning.

Accommodation
Accommodate is in the main house with double bed, fan and ensuite shower and toilet. Kitchen facility also available to cook your own food.

Winneba is between 1 - 2.5 hours bus ride from Accra depending on traffic. and 2 hours from Cape Coast castle. It is a lively welcoming small town which was occupied by the British during colonial times. It is busy and vibrant with a young population with 3 universities and a nursing college.
Winneba is famous for two festivals - The Fancy Dress Masquerade held on New Years Day and the Aboakyir Deer Hunting Festival which takes place the first weekend of May. Local people also walk around on 12 foot high stilts during festivals and special occasions!A little more information
