I have an old house nestling in a quiet corner of a peaceful Bulgarian village.
Unfortunately, I have an energy zapping medical condition so unable to complete a lot of things on my own.
The house needs a little cosmetic work to finish. Painting, plastering and papering and floor and wall tiling all to do.
Outside is clearing the "jungle" and lanscaping. A little dry stone walling would be desirable.
A kitchen garden needs to be created. The aim is to be as self-sufficient as possible.
This project is constantly evolving. Every day, new twists and developments create fresh challenges. There are solutions to all problems. The fun part is finding them!

Help in the house
The owner has enjoyed 35 years experience in the hospitality industry and is very happy to teach any willing learner anything and everything they want and need to know, especially with food and cooking.
I am aiming to be 90% self-sufficient for vegetables, eggs and possibly milk and cheese. The kitchen garden needs to be planned and planted.
As the garden grows, the outdoor kitchen need to be created. This is also a creative process as the tables and chairs etc. are either made from reclaimed materials or upcycled from existing as and when possible.
A good understanding of English is preferred. Bulgarian speaking a bonus. Any other language speakers welcome.

2 bedrooms and a bathroom are available.
The house is set in a small, friendly village approximately 10km from the next town where there are all the usual facilities you would expect from a major town. As well as the hotel, the village has a few shops and bars. There is also a mainline train station inthe village.
