    Description

Our Family of four consist of our 11 year old son Villads and his 14 year old sister Vanilla, Christina and Lars (parents in 40ies). 2 horses and 2 cats and a dog are the furry part of our family. We live on a small farm just a few minutes from Billund, which is the birthplace of LEGO.

When we moved here 6 years ago it was a closed farm with 6 Hectars potato fields, empty pig stables and an unapealing barn full of sh... After hard work, multible litres of sweat, aching backs and bleeding blisters, our home is now a cosy farm with lovely horse paddocks surrounded by biodiversity. Also in the spring of 2021 we have planted 11.000 Thuja as 2,5km labyrint. Some tasks will involve this as we have big plans of various games.

Our buildings are converted into a ridning arena, and facilities to accomodate guests..

Living on a place like this means there is always plenty to do inside and out. Gardening, painting, fixing, digging, cutting, planting, building etc etc is just a few of the things we would ask you to help with here - al adjusted to the wonderful danish weather.

Our kids go to School in Billund while we do our daily routines, as we are both self imployed.

We welcome single or couple travellers, but should you be a family with kids you are also very welcome. There is plenty to see around Billund and our kids love to play with others. Eventhough we open our home to workawayers, you must understand that we also expect that you are capable of spending some time alone, while we also tend to other tasks or Family.

We prefer that our Workawayers are prepared to move on after 2-4 weeks, so someone else can move in and there will be a constant flow of new people.

We are not vegetarian or vegan, but would be ready to try that lifestile if any of our workawayers are willing to guide us:) In general we eat almost everything and do it with joy - but something new is always interesting for us - and we do enjoy a beer or a glass of wine.

    Accommodation

We have plenty of newly made guest rooms, for either single, couple or family stay. An option from spring time is also to stay in our cosy pod next to the paddocks. There is also a lovely hangout lounge with pool table, dart, and cinema screed where you can relax. There is only one bathroom in that building, so please expect to share this with other work-awayers or our guests. Small kitchenette for coffee and tea in same building, while real kitchen is in our main family house.

We take turns to prepare the dinner and expect you to join on most evenings.

We are flexible regarding helping time. For us it is important that you will also be able to see our country and if we have time we also enjoy to join as tourguides.

We will assist with driving to town/bus if you want to go somewhere. Or you can borrow a bike and do the 6 km like that.

If we have two workawayers of same gender - you may need to share a room.
