Description
Our project is designed to meet the needs of the Kekirawa community, including children, teenagers, youth and adults, assisting them to discover their own talents and develop themselves to be self-sufficient members of the community.
OUR GOALS
Children, teenagers, youth and adults here are able to learn how to speak, read and write in English, use modern ICT equipment and learn how to apply new skills such as media, as well as explore new career and business opportunities to enrich their job and life chances and gain self- confidence and be inspired to take ownership of their own lives.
However, there are many talented personalities in this community. However, they are hidden and have yet to realize their talents and various capacities. The center gives them a chance to discover them and push them in order to let them find their path. Until now, the people in my community (kids, teenagers, young adults, and adults) have walked a certain distance in their life path without knowing this. Therefore the center needs to show them and open their minds to take the right path. This is the only challenge the center as if you can assist us on this. kindly join with us and help us.

You will be able to learn how Asian culture, foods, hospitality and some activities related to rural culture and especially you will be able to discover Lankan culture.

Not Luxury Accommodation but Comfortable and secure, in most cases, you will have shared a bedroom with another volunteer and will be provided with 3 meals a day.

Those who join us can have lake bath, see wild elephants ( Those who join with us during the months of September to December), visit cultural triangle, and do village visit. for more information about these special programs for volunteers contact head of the LC.
Special Note: If anyone Need to learn How to cook Sri Lankan traditional foods or Sri Lankan special cookery classes they are requested to contact the head of the learning center for more information about these special programs for volunteers.
