    Description

Hi, I’m retired and happy to be living in an amazing intentional community in Port Townsend, Washington, one of the loveliest spots in the Pacific Northwest. My three-bedroom home is one of about 14 that share in growing food and working together in harmony with each other. My family lives within a couple of hours of my home and I have occasional visits with my precious grandsons. I have a very personable part Siamese cat named Bobby.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

People who are interested in ecovillages and intentional communities would learn a lot about community connections and interdependence. Additionally, the surrounding area provides many opportunities for lovers of the outdoors. I’m a companionable person who has a keen interest in others and would love to share my home with people wanting to explore different ways of living.

  • Help

    Help

I would like to have some help with minor housekeeping, landscaping projects, general outdoor yard work/gardening, occasional cooking, cat care and a bit of home maintenance. There’s lots of opportunities to work with community members in the shared gardens, with chicken care or other community projects.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

There is a guest bedroom with a queen-sized bed on the ground floor. The kitchen is nearby and there may be a little noise from there in the morning. There is one bath and kitchen that will be freely shared. I’m happy to share some meals and provide food and room for guests to cook on their own.

    What else ...

There’s so much to do in our small town and much of it is in walking or biking distance. We’re on a bus line as well. We live near an incredible 450 acre state park with amazing views, trails and waterfront. The town has a colorful history and many amenities like restaurants, independent book stores and theaters. I hosted Workaways before Covid and am excited to open my home again. I’m happy to chat and visit and also like to have and provide some quiet, alone time as well.
