Description
My micro farm is ten minutes drive from Ennis CoClare. I'm originally from Dublin but have lived here for the past ten years. I have three daughters the youngest is 12year old and two older daughters who live in Dublin. Yhe micro farm includes a vegetable tunnel, a willow plantation and much more. It's a busy house with interesting projects on the go all the time. I'm a vegan and enjoy cooking but I don't have a problem if people want to eat meat but I'd prefer not to cook it myself. I enjoy nature, interesting challenges and culture. I live a quiet life in a relaxed house. I enjoy conversation and music.
Update 28th Feb 2022. I recently had a heart bypass so the micro farm is on hold for the moment. I am looking for anyone who is good at organising and helping our with light inside and outside work. I am decluttering my life and need help with this as I have a lot of stuff I no longer need. If you think you can help then send me a message : )Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Travellers will be totally immersed in the Irish countryside and culture. I'm a violin maker/craftsman with a lot of eco building experience and am happy to share my knowledge, I'm a very easy going person so there is generally a very relaxed atmosphere which is conducive to learning. I enjoy exchanging ideas and would hope that those who come here share the same enthusiasm.
Aide
There are nice projects on the go at the moment, gardening, organizing the craft workshop etc etc.
It's important to add that I believe this should be an equitable arrangement whereby it should be a good experience for everybody.
NB. I am really into cooking good food so it's important that you are able to cook too. We would expect everyone to be capable to equally contribute to the the weekly meals, which I pay for of course : )Langues parlées

Hébergement
Double bedroom, not en suite. There is a big shared bathroom with a nice shower and an open plan kitchen.
Autres infos...
Ennis is a small lively town with a lot of traditional music in pubs. I drive to town most days so you are very welcome to come. Smokers welcome but not in the house. It's a great area for walks. I can collect from Shannon Airport which is very close and also the bus and train station.

The job was various (gardening, painting, digging holes in the wall using the "Cow", treasure hunting in the shed or cleaning) and enjoyable and I'm very happy with my experience.

We stayed by Brian’s place just for 10 days, but it has been very nice. The work tasks include weeding, cutting grass, cleaning a part of the house and cooking sometimes. The garden, the polytunnel and the house are very tidy, so it’s a nice environment to work and live in. I liked walking around, there are a lot of loop trails and… read more

There is always loads to do, either levelling the ground or painting the fence or helping with the polytunnel. But you have to keep in mind, that the project only started, so there's going to be a lot more work in the following summers.
