  Description

  In the beginning (in 2010) we and our 3 children only had the wish to move to the country.
  Today we keep two little herds of sheep and cattle. We farm about 50 acres of land, mostly grass land with or without fruit trees on it.
  We renovate the old buildings with wood and clay. We have already opened a nice flat for guests and a little shop.
  We manage the farm to ecological guidelines and we keep the German BIOLAND-certificate.
  There is still a lot of work to do to realize all the projects that we have in mind!
  
  Seit 2010 leben wir mit unseren 3 Kindern auf dem in Rechtebach. Aus dem Wunsch aufs Land zu ziehen, einen großen Garten zu haben und "vielleicht mal irgendwas mit Tieren" zu machen, ist mittlerweile ein lebendiger Hof geworden. Viele Tiere sind eingezogen, eine Gästewohnung und ein kleiner Hofladen entstanden. Wir sind zertifizierter BIOLAND-Betrieb.
  Wir sanieren nach und nach die alten Fachwerkgebäude mit ökologischen Materialien wie Holz und Lehm.
  Mit 15 Mutterschafen und 5 Mutterkühen bewirtschaften wir 20 Hektar, zumeist Naturschutz- und Streuobstflächen.
  Natürlich wächst der Hof noch und wir haben viele spannende Projektideen!

  Working together and having meals together offers the perfect opportunity for exchange-or even learning the German language if desired.
  The charming surroundings in the North Hessian mountains allow for beautiful hikes. There are a number of half-timbered towns in the immediate vicinity. Otherwise, the next major cities of Göttingen, Kassel and Eisenach invite you to explore.
  
  Durch gemeinsames Arbeiten und gemeinsame Mahlzeiten bietet sich die perfekte Gelegenheit für Austausch - oder auch das erlernen der deutschen Sprache, falls gewünscht.
  Die reizvolle Umgebung im Nordhessischen Bergland ermöglicht schöne Wanderungen. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es etliche sehenswerte Fachwerkstädtchen. Ansonsten laden die nächsten größere Städte Göttingen, Kassel und Eisenach zu einer Erkundungstour ein.

  Hébergement

  In the house in a separate flat for helpers. Trailer and tent also possible. Enjoy joint meals with us and our family. But if you want, we also provide you with food so you can cook for our own.
  
  Im Haus, eigene Praktikantenwohnung, Wohnwagen oder Zelt.
  Gerne könnt Ihr an unseren Mahlzeiten teilnehmen. Es besteht aber auch die Möglichkeit, dass Ihr für Euch separat kocht - falls ihr mal etwas Ruhe braucht. Wir stellen Euch eine Kochgelegenheit und Lebensmittel zur Verfügung.

  We are situated in the mountainous region of northern Hessen, more or less one our drive away from the cities of Kassel, Göttingen and Eisenach.
  
  How to get there:
  There is public transport to the village of Rechtebach. (see for details).
  We can also collect you from a station nearby, such as Eschwege or Sontra.
  
  Unser Rechtebach liegt im Nordhessischen Bergland im Dreieck Kassel-Göttingen-Eisenach.
  
  Anreise: dem eigenen PKW, zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad.
  Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel fahren auch, Nahverkehrsinfo unter nvv.de. Abholung von einem Bahnhof in der Nähe möglich.
