    Description

Hi everyone, I'm Emilio. I live on and run a productive agricultural farm in the mountains in central Colombia where we live and profit off of the land. We grow blackberries and also vegetables like chard, beets and lettuce, carrots, radishes, potatoes, squash, etc. We raise heritage chickens and tilapia, we make soap, wine, and pastries to order that we make from farm-fresh ingredients and sell in towns nearby.
My farm is located in a rural community of farmers and cattle ranchers about an hour and a half from Bogota. We have cabin accommodations for workawayers with electricity and working bathrooms. We have a large common area with WiFi and a great view on the rooftop terrace of one of our structures, and across the street is a small store-bar that is frequented by the locals and neighbors who love to meet and exchange ideas with people from out of the country. This is only one of many small store-bars that line the short dirt and stone avenue from our farm to the main road. There are plenty of paths to explore and towns nearby with restaurants and local attractions.

Workawayers will be responsible for entertaining themselves. We have agreed to exchange room and board + three meals a day for the work specified in the help section of this profile. We have WiFi and there is plenty to do and explore around here and we encourage workawayers to not be shy but go out and find these places, talk to people, and have their own unique experience. This is a safe an interesting place to explore.
We do not ask that you make any payment or "donation" for your stay, as it seems that most other hosts have been doing, but we will also not be responsible for planning and organizing your free time for you.

We have a large common area with WiFi (available from sunrise until 8 PM) and a great view on the rooftop terrace of one of our structures, and across the street is a small store-bar that is frequented by the locals and neighbors who love to meet and exchange ideas with people from out of the country. This is only one of many small store-bars that line the short dirt and stone avenue from our farm to the main road. There are plenty of paths to explore and towns nearby with restaurants and local attractions.
Buses to Bogota pass the main road every 15 to 30 minutes, and local buses to towns nearby usually pass every 10 to 15 minutes. There is a hospital within 3 miles of the farm in case of emergency, a police station within 2 miles of the farm. The area is safe, friendly and beautiful.
