Description
I'm a multi-media artist with a non-profit arts organization/gallery. Working on a writing project at home. I am well on my way recovering from surgery on my dominant hand and open to sharing my space with someone nice, reliable, and chill (to help care for my animals (a sweet dog and cat), and help out with things that are still a bit difficult for me to do on my own.
Fully vaccinated and boosted. Absolutely no MAGA.Types of help and learning opportunities

I live in an incredibly beautiful place surrounded by nature, only a few minutes from the much-loved town of Joshua Tree. I am deeply involved in a very open and cutting edge art gallery along with a group of friends and have worked in the music community here for years. We have beautiful sunrises and sunsets every day. The night sky feels like you are really in the Milky Way because you are.
Help
I checked boxes where I could use help but I'm not really expecting more than a little help around the house & with the animals, mostly. I am a partner in an np art space in town so there are always things to do for the interested person.

I probably won't learn another language but I don't mind sharing mine with someone who has English as a second language.Accommodation
There is my son's loft/bedroom upstairs that is currently unoccupied. My room is downstairs. There is always the option of sleeping outside under the stars. (especially during the summer.) The living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom are shared. A swamp cooler and fans are our cooling system. We have a 10' cattle trough/swimming pool outside the backdoor.
What else ...
Joshua Tree National Park west entrance is less than ten miles away. Noah Purifoys Outdoor Art Musuem, Art Queen, Beatnik Lounge, Joshua Tree Saloon are all within ten minutes drive. Same for cafes, and several other galleries, shops, etc. Integratron and world famous music venue Pappy & Harriets are within a 30 minute drive. Palm Springs is 45 minutes away. Big Bear, Salton Sea, Slab City and Salvation Mountain are all within about a 90 minute drive. It's just a bit farther to Calexico. LA & the Southern California beaches are 2 1/2 hours away. Las Vegas or Tijuana are about 3 hours away. Death Valley, 4. So, in any direction there are LOTS of things to do. Joshua Tree alone is so beautiful, no one ever wants to leave and there is a very vibrant music and arts community happening pretty much 7 days a week of which I have been a part for over 20 years. I live pretty quietly. I work at my computer and occasionally play my guitar, although not for a while after I have my hand surgery.
