Description
Escape to the serene countryside just an hour away from Trondheim, nestled in the heart of Norway, where Elisabeth and Jo welcome you to their picturesque farm. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, our farm is home to 12 horses, a friendly dog, and a cuddly cat.
Horses are not just our passion; they're our way of life. At our farm, you'll find horses of all ages and backgrounds. Some are trained for competitive racing, while others are being groomed for leisurely rides. We dedicate our evenings and weekends to training and competitions, balancing our farm duties with our professional lives.
Meet our beloved bulldog, Selma, who eagerly joins us on short excursions around the neighborhood, adding joy and companionship to our daily routines.
As hosts on Workaway, we invite you to immerse yourself in the rhythms of farm life. Whether you're mucking out stables, grooming horses, or assisting with daily chores, you'll experience the unique bond between humans and animals that defines our farm.
Beyond the daily tasks, you'll have the chance to explore the natural beauty of our surroundings, from tranquil forest trails to shimmering lakes.
We are looking for self motivated, hard working, responsible and energetic people who like a variety of work and who appreciate physical activity. Volunteers need to be able to help independently as although we are mostly around, we are often busy with our own work.
Therefore, it it best suitet for you who are independent, and want to participate in daily life with the horses. It is not limited to a fixed time of day or week, but when the horses need care and training. If you can ride dressage, that is fine, as trotters benefit from being trained under saddle. In the summertime, we sometimes need some help with painting, and if you like to cook it is great!
