  Beschreibung

  who we are :
  Marie-Laure, theatre teacher and Franz, landscape gardener.
  We live on a land of 6500 m2 on the banks of a small river in the Atlantic Pyrenees - a large part of it has been developed as a combination of edible forest garden and vegetables gardening on living soil.
  
  This garden contains a great diversity of life (all kinds of plants, animals, mushrooms and lots of other microorganisms) and the multiple habitats they need: dry stone walls, sand, wetlands, dead wood (crushed or not), meadows, forest edges, surface composting, rammed earth etc. ...
  
  The hole is merged in a vast wilderness that surrounds us and which served to inspire its design. This system is dynamic and naturally in permanent transition towards the climax of evolution (dense forest).
  
  The gardener doesn't understand himself as a superior who should master all. He is rather in deep complicity with the genius of nature. He is an integrated and participating servant of this little antropic ecosystem. He cooperate with the nature without disturbing too much. In this way, productivity can achieve amazing and sustainable results.
  
  Some secondary products of this approach:
  - Every year some tons of carbon are sequestered as humus in our soils
  - A multitude of observations are possible, which can increase our knowledge and fertilisel our love and our amazement for life.

  Qui sommes nous :
  Nous, Marie-Laure, professeure de théâtre et Franz, paysagiste et jardinier.
  Nous habitons sur un terrain de 6500 m2 bordé par une rivière dans les Pyrenées Atlantiques - en grand partie développé en forêt comestible et en maréchages sur terre vivante.
  
  Ce jardin contient une grande diversité de vie (toutes sortes de plantes, animaux, champignons et beaucoup d'autres micro-organismes) et les multiples habitats qu'ils ont besoins : murs en pierre sèche, sable, zones humides, bois mort (broyé ou pas), prairies, bordure de forêt, compostage en surface, terre battue ect . . .
  
  L’ensemble est entouré par des vastes espaces sauvages qui ont inspiré sa conception.
  Cet écosystème est dynamique et naturellement en transition permanente vers le climax de l’évolution (la forêt dense).
  Le jardinier ici ne doit pas se prendre comme le supérieur qui veut tout maitriser, mais plutôt, être dans une complicité profonde avec le génie de la nature - un servant intégré et participatif d’un écosystème anthropisé. Il est délicatement en quête de ne pas trop déranger, tout en collaborant avec la nature. Ainsi, la productivité peut atteindre des résultats étonnants et durables.
  Les produits „secondaires“ :
  - chaque année, quelques tonnes de carbone sont séquestrées en forme de humus dans nos terres
  - Une multitude d'observations sont possibles, qui peuvent fertiliser nos connaissances, notre amour et notre émerveillement envers la vie !

  Unterkunft

  Accomodation:
  A smal room and a caravan in the garden are available for our volunteers. The communal kitchen and the bathroom is for everyone.
  Usually we eat together and it’s cooked by Marie-Laure, but we are also happy to be pleasured by other culinary arts.

  Une petite chambre et une caravane sont disponibles pour les bénévoles.
  La cuisine et la salle de bains sont communes.
  Habituellement, nous mangeons ensemble et les repas sont préparés en général par Marie-Laure.

  Par voiture : Notre village est à 5 minutes. La première ville (Nay 64800) est à 20 minutes et la plus grande ville (Pau 64000) est à 40 minutes.
