Description
We are currently looking for help in the month of March.
We (Joep & Miranda) offer a wonderful place for Workawayers in the sunny South of France.
We are looking for enthusiastic Workawayers to help us get our domaine ready for summer. We run a small scale holiday house rental business (B&B and Gites) and in the past years we renovated 3 gites (cottages), the swimming pool area and our own house with help of workawayers and lots of friends. Now it is that time of the year again to get the entire Domaine looking great again before our guests will be arriving to spend their vacation with us.
We are looking for enthusiastic Workawayers who love garden work, have some painting skills (as some of the shutters need a new coat of paint), who can help with oiling all garden furniture, are not afraid of some dust as the table d'hotes area (the small on-site outdoor restaurant) needs some serious cleaning, who are interested in preparing and planting the vegetable garden, who want to attack tidying up the terraces of the gites and who just love to work outdoors enjoying the spring sun. We are specifically seeking an individual who thoroughly enjoys spending time in the garden, as this will constitute a significant portion of the daily tasks.
A bit more about us:
We are originally from the Netherlands, but we moved to France in 2011. Joep is a wine specialist and a great cook. He will introduce you to the many culinary delights that the Languedoc-Rousillion region has to offer. Joep takes care of all the cooking, maintenance and building tasks at the domaine.
Miranda works full time from home as an experience designer for meetings and events and in addition Miranda co-runs our holiday houses business. Miranda will welcome you with the highest hospitality standards to ensure you have a very comfortable stay. We live at the domaine with our 2 cats and super sweet Golden Retriever Oscar.
We look forward to welcoming you!Types of help and learning opportunities

Your stay at our domaine is a discovery, a learning opportunity and a way to voluntarily and freely participate in our daily activities. We cannot wait to share our world with you and give you the opportunity to experience what it is like to live abroad and live your dream.
We started our French adventure in the beginning of 2011 and can share what we learned from this experience with those who might want to start a similar activity abroad.
We also offer the opportunity to learn new skills, practice foreign languages (we speak Dutch, German, English and French) and meet lots of new people.
We'll introduce you to the local cuisine, the cultural gems of the region as well as the stunning country side.Help
You would assist in getting the Domaine fully ready for the summer season. This means garden work (lots of weeding and some pruning), some painting jobs (as some of the shutters need a new coat of paint), oiling and cleaning garden furniture, cleaning the table d'hotes area (the small on-site outdoor restaurant), tidying up the terraces of the gites, help with cooking and other fun activities around the domaine.

You would stay in one of our five gites (a gite is a a fully equipped holiday house with your own bedroom, bathroom, living room with TV, terrace and private entrance). It is possible that you have this gite entirely for yourself or that you share it with other workawayers. You would ALWAYS have your own bedroom.
As we rent out our accommodation year round to holiday guests, we might ask you to switch accommodation once in a while or stay in our spare bedroom for a weekend or a week in case all gites get rented. This would be very exceptional though and is currently not foreseen for March/April.What else ...
