  Description

  We are an Italian-Spanish family who lives in a small village in the Alpujarra of Granada, one of the most unique regions of Andalusia and Spain. The white villages with their peculiar arquitecture, the quietness and the relaxed rithm of life give the feeling of standing still in time and going back to the roots of authentic Spain. We are Cinzia and Salvador with our daughters Sandra and Lilia. We manage an activity in the hotel industry. Our job leaves us very little free time, so we need help to take care of our house and sometimes with our activity or with general mainteinance around the compound.
  In this moment we would also like to have someone who could help our family with yoga or meditation.
  
  Somos una familia ítalo-española que vive en un pequeño pueblo de la Alpujarra de Granada, una de las regiones más peculiares de Andalucía y España. Los pueblos blancos con su arquitectura tradicional, la tranquilidad y el ritmo relajado de la vida dan la sensación de estar parados en el tiempo y volver a las raíces de la auténtica España. Somos Cinzia y Salvador con nuestras hijas Sandra y Lilia. Gestionamos una actividad en la hostelería y nuestro trabajo nos deja muy poco tiempo libre, por lo que necesitamos ayuda para cuidar nuestra casa y a veces en otras tareas relacionadas con nuestra actividad o de mantenimiento general.
  En estos momentos nos gustaría también tener a alguien que pueda ayudar a nuestra familia con clases de yoga o de meditación.

  We believe that the exchange will be very enriching. You will have the opportunity to explore the beautiful natural environment that surrounds us, discovering La Alpujarra, a peculiar region of small white villages hanging on the slopes of the mountains of the Sierra Nevada National Park, full of culture and traditions. If you want to experience the daily life of a small Spanish community, if you like the contact with nature, the sun and relaxation this is the place for you.
  At the same time we think it's good for our daughters to relate and share experiences with people from other cultures and to have the opportunity to be in touch with other languages.
  
  Creemos que el intercambio será muy enriquecedor. Tendrás la oportunidad de explorar el estupendo entorno natural que nos rodea, descubriendo La Alpujarra, una peculiar comarca de pequeños pueblos blancos colgados en las laderas de las montañas del Parque Nacional de Sierra Nevada, llena de cultura y tradiciones. Si quieres experimentar la vida diaria de una pequeña comunidad española, si te gusta el contacto con la naturaleza, el sol y la relajación, este es el lugar para ti. Al mismo tiempo pensamos que es bueno para nuestras hijas relacionarse y compartir experiencias con personas de otras culturas y que hablan otros idiomas.

  Help

  We would like to have people who can adapt to the different needs of the family, that are used to doing houseworks, with a positive attitude and a healthy lifestyle, absolutely non smoker, for whom it's not a problem to stay in a small quiet village and having a lot of time to spend on their own. At least a basical level of Spanish is required in order to be able to communicate with all the members of the family.
  Being a yoga or pilates teacher or a massage therapist could be an interesting plus.
  
  Nos gustaría tener a una persona que tenga flexibilidad para adaptarse a las diferentes necesidades, acostumbrada a las tareas de la casa, con una actitud positiva y un estilo de vida saludable, absolutamente no fumador, para quien no sea un problema estar en un pueblo pequeño y tranquilo y estar solo durante su tiempo libre. Se requiere al menos un nivel básico de español para poder comunicarse con todos los miembros de la familia.
  Maestros de yoga o pilates o personas con buena experiencia en tema de masaje podrían ser particularmente apreciados.

  You'll have the opportunity to learn Spanish in the everyday life context and we would like you to speak English with our children and/or help me (Cinzia) to practice English, French and German.

  Accommodation

  The accommodation is in a studio with kitchenette and bathroom, located just below our house. Sometimes it is shared with other people who come to practice in our activity. We offer breakfast and lunch, while volunteers provide for their own dinner and for meals on the free days. There are some shops in the village of Bérchules, more or less one kilometer from our house.
  
  El alojamiento es en un estudio con cocina y baño, ubicado justo debajo de nuestra casa. En ocasiones se comparte con otras personas que vienen a practicar en nuestra actividad. Ofrecemos desayuno y almuerzo, mientras que los voluntarios preparan su propia cena y las comidas en los días libres. Hay algunas tiendas en el pueblo de Bérchules, más o menos a un kilómetro de nuestra casa.

  What else ...

  In the free time you can do walking and hiking, take the sun in the terrace and occasionally enjoy some of the facilities of our hotel depending on the availability of the moment.
  Just keep in mind that we live in a very quiet place (at least for most of the year), without much entertainment. The Alpujarra is not for those who look for fun and “movida”, but it can be the ideal place to relax, stay in touch with nature, disconnect from the world and find one’s inner self.
  Our village is about 100 km from the cities of Granada and Almeria, which are also the nearest airports, and about 150 km from Malaga. There are two buses a day from Granada and one from Almeria.
  
  En el tiempo libre podrás pasear, hacer rutas de senderismo, tomar el sol en la terraza y ocasionalmente disfrutar de algunas de las instalaciones de nuestro hotel dependiendo de la disponibilidad del momento.
  Solo ten en cuenta que vivimos en un lugar muy tranquilo (al menos durante la mayor parte del año), sin mucho entretenimiento. La Alpujarra no es para quienes buscan diversión y “movida”, pero puede ser el lugar ideal para relajarse, estar en contacto con la naturaleza, desconectarse del mundo y encontrar a si mismos.
  Nuestro pueblo está a unos 100 km de las ciudades de Granada y Almería, que también son los aeropuertos más cercanos, y a unos 150 km de Málaga. Hay dos autobuses diarios desde Granada y uno desde Almería.
