PLASTERING THE STRAWBALE HOUSE! LOTS OF FUN AWAITING, STILL FREE FOR MARCH!
HI, I'm Adriana, 37, and got these three hectares for myself in october 2018! I am so excited about it! This is my greatest dream come true. Of course there is lots of work to do. But nothing more pleasing than putting your hands in the dirt and getting the most delicious veggies out of it! I got some chickens, ducks, three dogs (one of them that travelled with me around europe) and a mare and filly, also three milking sheep that might have lambs still this year. The orchard has lots of peach trees, but also apple, cherry, and quince-trees, and native berry-trees like Maqui and Berberis. There are a few buildings (the shed and hay storage area) the old house with two rooms, and the new strawbale house which is in the making. there are a lot of ongoing projects and jobs and maintenance to be done and i am very happy for some help.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Volunteers will get to enjoy the beautiful chilean countryside, very peaceful and green. I would gladly share with you all the knowledge i've gathered this past years as a volunteer myself, from permaculture to biology, to gardening and farming. I'm also always open to new knowledge and eager to learn more about anything.
Help
As i said before there is always work to do, from organising the garden, to fixing sheds fences and shelters, chopping wood, weeding, pruning, feeding hens, handling horses (the typical farm stuff) to cleaning and organising the house and spaces, building benches, furniture, you name it. The house is very old and wasn't very well mantained but it's at least dry. there will be times i need to travel for paperwork or event related to farming in which case i might need people to do a bit of farmsitting for me.

Accomodation might be very basic, cozy room for yourself and maybe one other volunteer in the main house. Shared meals, and bathroom with hot water. Internet is shared and not great(probably just whatsapp and mails ) CHILDREN welcome!!!
What else ...
This place is located in agricultural area but only half an hour away from very beautiful Villarrica, with astonishing sights to vulcanoes and lakes and mountains. there is also the andes maybe two hours away if you want to organise a weekend hike or go to the freezing cold pacific ocean less than two hours away. there are lots of places to walk, go fishing, birdwatching, or if you want to take a whole day out, you can spend your day on the beach or even hike up a vulcano! If you'd rather spend a day in town or in a city you can get either to villarrica or Temuco in less than an hour. I would take you to the main road where you can get buses every 20' to either city.
