  • Description

    Description

We are a couple ( Martin and Sabine) living with an elderly aunt, on a small farm in the beautiful Black Forest in Germany. We have 2 horses, sheep, cats. Amy and Joschy the dogs, and a small garden where we grow organic vegetables. We live in an old farmhouse, which we are in the process of renovating and extending.

The house is situated in a peaceful valley, immersed in nature. There are many forest walks starting from the house. Our ultimate aim is to create a space where people can come to reconnect with nature, and themselves. We love to meet new people and exchange ideas. We would normally take volunteers from April until November. However, should you wish to experience the winter here, that can be a possibility.

The market town of Freudenstadt, which has a great variety of shops, is 20 minutes drive away. The picturesque Freiburg is 1hr 30 mins, as are Stuttgart and Strasbourg in France. There are many forest trails ideal for walking and cycling. There are many museums where visitors can sample the fascinating local history and culture, as well as nature parks. The nearby villages of Schapbach and Bad-Rippoldsau have several quality restaurants.
