*️️️️️️️️*️️️️️️️️*️️️️️️️️ Sometimes we take time to respond, if you really want it, try again :)

Set into the cloud layer of a sloping land overlooking Lake Atitlan, the castle offers a unique experience to live completely off-grid, to co-exist in harmony with nature, and to go deeper into one´s personal practices. It is an intentional, quite experimental, community with the goal of becoming entirely regenerative in the near future. The beauty of this project is that it is an organic entity still in it´s development phase, and therefore full of opportunities for those who wish to get their hands dirty, to learn about alternative lifestyles, and to transcend their past belief systems.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

We believe our project and the land we are sitting on are quite magical and we invite you to experience this magic for yourself. You will have a potentially daunting amount of freedom and ample space for learning and growth, so the rest is up to you! We are a dynamic community in constant flux depending on who is gracing us with their presence, which creates a melting pot of different cultures and opens a valuable opportunity to exchange and transcend our own belief systems.

  • Help

There are always things to help out with and we invite everyone on a voluntary basis to participate in sharing responsibilities. In addition to the karmic daily chores of human life (cooking for each other, cleaning, etc.), we have 3 resident dogs, 3 cats, and 8 chickens that require love and care.

While we welcome all souls to wander into our playground, we are especially keen to fill the following two volunteer positions:

    Permaculture Designer

We´re dwelling on many acres of lush cloud forest, ready to be taken to the next level. Our goal is to establish an entirely regenerative permaculture plan to be able to feed ourselves abundant organic produce and to continue growing in the future. We have one position for a skilled designer to come and share their knowledge, or for a recent student to come and practice their newfound skills. We are not experts ourselves, so we offer the ease of a no-pressure position and our eagerness to learn from you.

    Carpenter/Handy (wo)men

Our home is a beautifully constructed castle still in it´s rustic stages of development, sitting on a pine forest and clay deposit. In addition to home improvements, we have ambitious plans for growth in the near future. We have too many projects to list here, both big and small, for the experienced woodworker to come and play with. In addition to carpentry, we have many minor repairs to handle and more creative construction projects that could involve working with other natural materials. Please inquire if you are inspired to build and confident with your skills to work independently or to lead a project.

  • Accommodation

You will have the choice of staying in our magic bus, a tent in the forest, or a dorm bed in the castle, depending on what is available.

We stock the kitchen full of ingredients and share communal meals together, we respect everyone's dietary needs.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

We are nearby many non-touristic villages that you can explore by hiking or hopping on public transit, that offer the opportunity of cultural exchange, language practice, and diversion in general. Panajachel is the nearest big town where you can find almost any consumer comfort, drink delicious coffee, visit the art gallery, (with which the land and castle got financed), etc. From Panajachel, you can hop on a boat taxi to explore the other towns bordering Lake Atitlan, each with their own vibes from artisan boutique market, to super hippy dippy, to party zone, you can find whatever you´re looking for and you can find yourself here.
