    Description

We are an off grid, permaculture farm in a remote yet not too remote area of South Africa. The farm is in the garden route which is also known as Eden. It really does feel like Eden being engulfed with beautiful mountains, streaming rivers and many waterfalls through the thick indigenous forest down to 5 beautiful lakes along this magnificent coast, into the lagoons and out to the humble Indian ocean.

Skills that you could pick up are permaculture, arboriculture, tree felling, lumber processing, building, carpentry, general farm up-keep, bee keeping, nutrition, gut health, healing with food, moving meditation and the practice of the dao flow.
We also have a huge interest in Biodynamics and the knowledge already discovered may most certainly be shared.

    Help

The farm is off the grid and also self sustaining to a degree, however self sustaining means much work needs to be put into the produce in the greenhouses.
We operate within the permaculture principles to the best of our abilities and we are in the process of restoring the land by reintroducing indigenous tree's and plants and enriching the soil life.
The intention is to create a hub for vibrating harmonising frequencies into the collective resonating matrix.
This means that as a volunteer, we would like you to have an affinity with the overall intention and vision of positively affecting mass psychology. We are focused on having people in the project who radiate harmony and balance within themselves and towards others.
This is the foundation upon which this space is being founded.

Most of the help required is general farm work to keep the farm on a self sustaining level and general maintenance with the structures and all the plants and trees.
The work could involve carpentry, building, logging, timber prepping, painting, oiling, sanding, varnishing, cleaning, bee keeping, grass cutting, composting work, pruning tree's, maintaining vegetable gardens, irrigation adjustments, water preservation, fire wood chopping, clearing fire breaks, general gardening, weeding, shoveling soil, shoveling shit, nurturing the plant life and beautifying the landscape. Farm life can be idealistic coming from the city but it is not for the faint hearted. The work is humbling, sometimes it requires us to be on our hands and knees.

There are a few structures to be built and renovations to be made this year. Next on the list are the renovations to one of the cabins and finishing the chicken coop. The chalets are to be built after the water storage has been completely setup. It is an exciting time of growth here and we look forward to your enthusiasm and open heart.

There are always many various tasks to be tackled, for example fencing, a labyrinth, shelving in the shed, installing a garage door, workshop deck.

This is a good overview of all the tasks ahead for the next year.

We have simple wooden cabins and very decent canvas tents for volunteers at the moment. We have outdoor showers and a comfortable compost toilet.
We offer rice, lentils, split peas, hemp seed and moringa powder. Anything else will have to be provided by yourself. Meals will most likely often be done together but there is a simple for kitchenette for volunteers to do their own thing.

We tend to accept the more committed volunteer over the travelling volunteer looking for a lovely learning pitstop... but who knows, if you happen to have a strong affinity with the project or the people on this land and your timing is good, as well as your request filled with enthusiasm for this project, for which we are tools ourselves... then you might be warmly welcomed. So allow yourself to express your dignity and write a detailed introduction.

There is always an initial 1 week probation period, then again 4 weeks into your stay. If a volunteer makes some serious damages, causes for serious risk or harm towards the land or any other people on the land within the first few days. Then you will be asked to leave, given 12 hours notice.

We regret to inform you that the chances of us accepting your request, if you are younger than 21 years of age, will be small.
