    Description

    We are a small family of four (two parents and two children) and we will soon move in to Berlin. We are looking for somebody that wants to take care of our children for the first months while we settle in - and maybe even afterwards, if we get along well!

    Regarding the kids: Our children are 2 years, and 9 months old. The oldest one has tendencies to rule the world (as any human being of her age do), and the youngest one has two teeth (so she will probably try to rule the world soon!)
    We try to raise our children as gender-neutral, vegetarians, environmental aware and in contact with nature - as much as possible.

    Regarding the parents: we try to teach our kids that is not nice to rule the world. We are community beings, we like vegan food, we love to travel, we like to cook good food, to talk about politics, do sports, be in nature, share and acquire knowledge. We like challenges! And coffee with cookies.

    Regarding the task itself: The help is to take care of our children during the day time, for 4/5 days a week. That means to make a good programme for the day with our help (paint, explore nature, free play, read, etc), feed them, change diapers, change clothes if needed, and it is kind of that...

    Regarding our place: We will live 30 minutes away from city centre, (by public transport). In the beginning we are going to live in a house with other colleagues. It is a house provided by the company we work for. The house is quite big and it has many rooms, swimming pool, garden farming, little gym, etc. Afterwards, we will most likely move to our own flat/house (which we still don't know nothing about). In the first house, you will have your own room with private toilet, and access to the kitchen. The access to the other facilities, we would need to agree with you on the spot - also when we get to know each other.

    We are a very international family. The mother is Portuguese, the father is Italian, our kids are born in Denmark and we are going to live in Berlin, which is a quite multi-cultural city. In the house, we are going to live with many other European people (Swedish, Hungarian, Lithuanian, etc).

    Your days will start after breakfast.
    09:00h to 11:00h - Programme for the day agreed between you and the parents;
    11:00h to 11:45h - Snack time
    11:45h to 12:30h - Programme for the day agreed between you and the parents;
    12:30h to 14:00h - Kids have their nap;
    14:00h to 15:00h - One parents should arrive around this time.

    All these times are flexible, but we want to give you a realistic guidelines of what could look like. It is also important to notice that the smaller kid might need more naps, and the oldest might only be ready for her nap around 13:00h. In any case, if you follow these guidelines, you will all be fine. We will discuss more about the daily schedule once you contact us.
    We will try to leave food prepared for the day, so you don't need to worry about it. You just need to feed them. The oldest kid is potty training (meaning, stopping to use diapers) so, you will also need to pay some attention to that. But we will also introduce you to the task in detail, afterwards.

    We DON'T want any screens in front of our kids' eyes. And we ask you also to reduce the time you are in front of your phone while you are with them. But we will also talk about it once you contact us.

    You will be in a room with private toilet, and you will have access to the kitchen. The house itself has many facilities, such as a swimming pool, a sauna, a little gym, etc... however, we would need to agree about the use of those facilities once we meet in person.
