Description
We are a boutique ski lodge in Japan, that caters mainly to western guests , we are hands on working also , and are looking for passionate people to help us.

We have small ski lodge (5 rooms), situated halfway up a mountain in Japan , with a diverse range of guests .
We also have very close ties to the local community , which we are very much involved with . You will have the opportunity to be involved with festivals , and exploring our village which is over 1,000 years old with many temples and shrines hidden away in the surrounding forrest . Matsumoto Castle is short drive away , and is considered to be one of the seven significant castles in Japan . Local villagers are also very welcoming with passing on their knowledge of local foods sourced in the area you can learn to prepare traditional meals also.
Given our close ties with the community workawayers will have to opportunity mix and participate in many local festivities .Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

Help
We are looking for people ( ideally a couple ) that have an eye for detail , personable, and like mixing with people . Duties will include food preparation (cooking qualifications would be an added bonus ), cleaning , and riding snowmobiles . Must be able to drive a manual car.
Basically we need people who can do a bit of cleaning, food preparation , washing dishes (we have a commercial dishwasher) , and helping with changeover days by vacuuming, and general cleaning .
Ideally we would like a couple , and they would need to be able to commit from mid December til mid March
We will also provide an allowance for hours worked , offset by board and lodging .

Nozawa Onsen is very close to quite a few local attractions , such as the Snow Monkeys, Zenkoji Temple , Matsumoto Castle just to name a few .
You will have plenty of time to explore these sights, and we are happy to let you use our car .
