    We are a registered community-based organization in Kenya that is run & managed by local youths with a mission to Nurture, socially and economically empower local young people to spur the local development. We operate in the rural areas of Kakamega &Turkana counties.
    In line with the organization goal, we are implementing programs namely Nurturing, Entrepreneurship and Women Empowerment program. Importantly, for these project to benefit the local people, skilled volunteers and resources are required thus we wish to kindly appeal you join our team to effectively implement our projects.

    Over the weekend volunteers have time to visit local excellent tourism attractions such as lakes, game parks, museum, cultural sites, entertainment spots, mountains, beach or going for a safari within the country by the assistance of experienced field officer and a tour company which offers excellent and affordable tourism services.
    The volunteers will have an opportunity to experience first hand cultural exchange from the local people as well as other international volunteers. The volunteers will be able to learn local language, how to prepare local food, way of dressing and meeting new people. This will assist the volunteers to improve interpersonal skills and embrace other cultural practices.

    We operate in the rural areas Turkana- Lodwar . The community is underdeveloped due to high rate of poverty, illiteracy, retrogressive African culture and unemployment. Due to these challenges faced by the local people, we as a community-based organization have researched & engaged the locals to develop the programs to address the above challenges. Our programs are nurturing, entrepreneurship and Women Empowerment.

    Nurturing program targets to support local vulnerable children to access and excel in universal education. Yearly, more than 800 local vulnerable children are being supported through Reproductive & development Health Project which provides sanitary pads & mentorship to girls on monthly basis, Back to School project which provides school uniform, shoes & scholastic materials to vulnerable kids, Art Appreciation Project which equips kids with drawing & painting talents/skills. Under this program volunteers are needed to assist with facilitating mentorship sessions, To fundraise, data collection & analyzing, taking photos and making videos, teaching children on artistic skills as well as assisting to market their artworks.

    Entrepreneurship program equips local vulnerable youths and women with business and vocational skills then successfully trainees are supported to start own business or secure employment. Annually over 400 local vulnerable young people and women are supported through Skills Training Project which equips them with business, life skills, basic computer use and tailoring. Under this program volunteers are needed to assist with basic computer use training, field visits, data collection & analyzing, facilitating business training, proposal writing, fundraising and taking videos and photos.

    Therefore, Volunteers are needed to assist with the following skills and courses:

    -Field visits, data collection & analyzing

    -Facilitating business training

    -Fundraising

    -Video and Photography

    -Facilitating mentorship sessions

    -Art and Advertising finished artwork

    -Reproductive and developmental health for young girls

    Volunteers will stay with the host family privately within the community hence volunteers will have access to three healthy local meals, fully furnished bedding facilities hence don't need to bother carrying bedding facilities.

    Volunteers will have an opportunity to learn how to prepare local meals, local languages and local culture hence also they will have an opportunity to show the host family their culture. The host family will assist in carrying out Laundry services which will only be done once per week .

    Volunteers involvement in the projects is key to the organisation and the community at large, good team at the organization and cooperation from the local residents. Also utilizing limited resources to Nurture, Empower and Transform the local children and youths to be better people in future.

    Volunteers are requested to stay in the community at least 2 weeks to be resourceful to the project as they learn local culture and enjoy excellent tourism attraction of the country. Volunteers can visit the community as individual, couple or group of any age and gender at any time of the year.

    Volunteers will have an opportunity to learn foreign culture and make new friends as our volunteers are across the globe hence no time you will be alone.
