    Description

We are looking for 2 different types of Workkawayers.
    - An English Teacher
    - A couple/friends to work on the gardens, permaculture and general maintenance.

Born in Ecuador I then studied and worked in the USA until I moved back to Ecuador 22 years ago. I now own two educational camps where we teach English to Ecuadorian students of all ages and back grounds.

    ENGLISH TEACHER
I am looking for Workkawayers who know the English language thoroughly, preferably born in a native English speaking country who enjoy teaching - You will teach classes and provide and English speaking environment outside of class. We offer room and 3 meals in exchange of 5 hours , 5 days a week.

A PERSON TO WORK ON THE GARDENS, PERMACULTURE
We are looking for a person to help in the garden of the second camp. The garden is a big space that is in the early stages of its development.
For food you will be provided with food from the garden and of course any additional food that you may need. You have access to the kitchen to prepare all of your own meals. Your accommodation really is in a beautiful lactation and you will share this space with the owner.

We are located in Ecuador 30 minutes from the beautiful city of Quito and just 30 minutes from the Quito airport. The camps are based in Tumbaco's countryside away from the city so you have access to the beautiful mountains of Ilalo with an spectacular view to the Valley - great for hiking and trail running. We have had Workkawayers before who were happy, focused and enjoyed the peaceful nature and friendly atmosphere we have and enjoy here. This really is a special place.

    Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

Our Workkawayers before benefited from cultural exchange and learning Spanish at the same time they teach. In one year they can acquire fluency and understanding not only of the language but they understand the insides of the culture. Also you can travel around the area and soak up as much of the country and culture as you can.

    ENGLISH TEACHER
Teach and practice English with students of all ages and backgrounds. Having a very high standard of English language is essential and being and having English as your first language is ideal but not essential. Some college and university years will be helpful but most important is to have a positive attitude, patience and willing to help the students in all areas. Males or females are welcome and any adult age is ok. You must be happy work with children and adults. The students will likely be at different levels of English however you will still teach in one group. There is a basic class structure but you will have freedom to teach in the style you choose, what is important is that the students get plenty of practice in speaking, listening and writing and also build up there confidence to communicate in English.
