ACTUALITé; Le projet AGRO-TOURISME es à la recherche d'un(e) ou un couple porteur de projet pour s'installer (projet et logement) sur la structure présente pour développer son activité de préférence d'élevage (tout type envisagé: poules, moutons, chèvres, cochons, …) et/ou autre activité par exemple cours de yoga, ferme pédagogique, peinture, sculpture, ... Toute demande d'info ou de visite est bienvenue, au plaisir d'accueillir votre projet!

Michael est heureux de vous accueillir aux Grandes Fontaines.
Situé au cœur du Parc Naturel des Ballons des Vosges sur le Plateau des Mille Étangs, nous sommes installés depuis 2008 dans cette région magnifique pour y lancer un projet agro-touristique.
La vie du domaine est rythmée par ses hôtes, des petites activités agricoles et plein de bricole. La ferme des Grandes Fontaines, de dimension humaine, assure une petite partie de la production alimentaire destinée à couvrir les besoins de ses habitants et de ses hôtes.
Le domaine couvre 13 hectares et abrite, en plus des deux corps de ferme, six sources d’eau. Cette eau de source qui affleure en abondance sur ce domaine lui a valu son appellation de « Grandes Fontaines ». D’orientation plein sud, à environ 700 mètres d’altitude, le domaine compte de nombreux pommiers et cerisiers, des pâturages pour les animaux, ainsi qu’un potager.
Différentes activités seront possible pendant les 6 heures, rien de répétitif.
Les activités agricoles :
Dans le potager de la semence, à la récolte.
Aider le maraicher à son installation au grandes fontaines
Pour les fruits de la cueillette (fraises, cassis, sureau, prunes, cerises, pommes, ...) à la fabrication de pot de confitures, sirops.
Entretien et plantation d'arbres fruitiers
Entretien des prés, clôtures, bois
Les activités bricolage : hiver/été 2020
murs pierres sèches et à la chaux / crépis
finir le toit végétal
Possibilité d'apprendre tout style de métiers ; charpente, isolation chaux ou argile avec chanvre/paille, pose de plancher, carrelage, …
L'activité chambre et table d'hôte;
aider au nettoyage, l'accueil, le petit déjeuner, la table d'hôte
« Les Fontaines » accueille tous ceux qui, amoureux de la nature, veulent profiter d’un séjour authentique, dans une ferme traditionnelle rénovée par nos soins.

Hi everybody,
Michael and Jean my son gladly welcome you a magnificent property located right in the heart of the "Plateau des Mille Etangs" (The Thousand Lakes), Vosges, Eastern France, where we have been working on our agro-touristic project for ten years now.
The farm southwardly overlooks the valley, 700 meters above sea level. Overall, the property covers 13 hectares (32 acres) of land, which include the 2 farms, but also six different streams of water. This spring water runs about everywere down the property. The land is also home to lots of apple and cherry trees, grazing lands for the sheep, and a small vegetable garden.
Life on the property runs around its inhabitants, daily agricultural tasks, and most of all, a variety of DIY activites. The farm is small-scale and vegetable from the garden helps cater for the needs of its inhabitants.
If you help here, you will work from 4 to 5 hours a day, during which lots of activities can be offered, whether contributing to agricultural or DIY tasks. Here are some examples:
- agriculture :
*️️️️ In the vegetable garden, everything from crops to harvest.
*️️️️ Maintenance of fruit trees (cherries, apples, blackberries, elderberries, plums): harvest, cooking, baking into jams and syrups...
*️️️️ maintenance of the grazing lands, wood, fencing
-DIY tasks (winter/spring 20178):
*️️️️ help build terraces dry stone walls
*️️️️ finishing the vegetable roof
*️️️️ you can try a hand at a variety of trades: carpentry, woodwork, masonry, insolation work (whitewash, hay, hemp...).
Michael can speak English, French, Nederlands and German. Jean can .... speak Viking.
We welcome all nature lovers who wish to experience genuine agricultural life in this peaceful and authentic environment. We like helpers to stay for 2 or 3 weeks, then we talk about a longer stay!

Here travelers can learn a lot about the making of an agro-touristic project started from scratch in a truly preserved region. They can get to know the area, with it unique nature, and have a taste of traditional French agricultural life (and food). They will also meet other travelers (workawayers and guests) from various places and the host is well travelled himself.

Je me suis senti comme chez moi ici, Michael est belge et ont a pas mal discuté là dessus mais il a aussi beaucoup voyagé et a toujours de chouette anecdotes à raconter.En plus de ça il est polyglotte et super polyvalent!( il n’y a qu’à regarder comment la ferme a évoluer en B&B!)
