Meditation, gentle yoga exercises, good company of spiritually minded people and monks; enjoy the serenity of nature, Korean food, Korean culture.
We have a mini-Retreat Center cum small organic garden (1/4 acre) where we grow a variety of vegetables that we use for our weekend meditation/yoga programs. We need help to plant, nurture and harvest the vegetables and herbs. We especially welcome volunteers who are hard working, punctual, considerate of others, can clean up after themselves and are ready to embrace a farmer's lifestyle, i.e. early to bed and early to rise.

Dormitory-style, no beds; no individual rooms; yoga mat, bedding provided; toilet and bathroom block; volunteers help with cooking duties; our diet is lacto-vegetarian; no drinking, smoking or drugs allowed on campus; volunteers are expected to adhere to rules of simple Ashram living.
We are nearby Jeonju city--the home of bibimbap (Korean version of sushi) and former spiritual capital of Baekje Kingdom; it is located in the southwest part of South Korea; it is famous for the Jeonju Hanok Village- a traditional-style village in the heart of Jeonju, housing over 800 traditional "hanok" style buildings. It contains many traditional tea shops, souvenir shops, and restaurants.
There is a man-made lake nearby the farm and a water reservoir with a small man-made waterfall with soothing sounds. Local buses connect our farm with Jeonju and other cities in Jeollabuk Province. There is a bus service twice a day from Seoul to the nearest town called Bongdong.
We encourage you to get a Korean SIM card on arrival at airport or rent a wifi lunch box for the duration of your stay. It's probably cheaper to invest in a wifi connection than to take a taxi from Jeonju to our farm! It's not so easy to come to our place unassisted and we may not always be free to help you. But with wifi connectivity it is easier to direct you with a minimum of hassles.
