We are a family owned farm on a 53 acres property comprised of pristine forest and fertile arable lands. Come work with us to develop an alternative, farm-life experience at our organic (non-certified) farm and get to enjoy the beauty of the surrounding Nature!

Help in the house
During your stay you will learn and implement permaculture practices with much diversity, from market garden farming to working on natural buildings (cob house), wood-frame construction and many other communal infrastructure projects. You'll also learn to take care of our chickens. They do a great job helping us managing invading species and improving our soil, thanks to our chicken tractor.
You will experience a full immersion into farm-life under the supervision of our long-term residents and participate in the daily tasks. You can chose between two schedules formula:
- 5 hours a day from Monday to Friday
- 25 hours spread the way you like over the week.
Please note that the work hours exclude breaks, breakfast, lunch and dinner hours. Be also aware that farming or building can be sometimes physically demanding so please make sure you are fit and ready for it!
There's lots to do and so much to learn!
Experience in farming and/or carpentry an asset!
In exchange of your help, all your meals will be provided (the community shares in the preparation, cooking and cleaning up), you will have your own campsite with tent + mattress (please bring your own sleeping bag) and you will have access to our indoor and outdoor kitchens, bathhouse, laundry and living spaces. There is also a farm computer at your disposal with internet access, plug-in capabilities. However, we are a WiFi Free zone.
Please bring only biodegradable soap and toothpaste as we try to keep our impact on Nature as little as possible. And you'll need to provide a proof of insurance (in advance or when you arrive on site) and will be required to sign a waiver upon arrival.
We are located on beautiful Salt Spring Island, across the road from the ocean and walking distance from the quaint Village of Fulford where you will find the ferry, a convenient store, restaurants, a liquor store, a post office, high speed wireless internet, etc. The bus line connecting to Ganges is easily accessible down the road.
We have trails on the property (ideal for mushroom picking and bird watching) and there are many options nearby to go swimming (Spirit Lake, Burgoyne Bay, Fulford Harbour, Ruckle Park) or hiking trails (Mt. Maxwell, Reginald Hill, Mt. Erskine). We also love going to Dance Temple on Mondays and Thursdays evenings and we'd be happy to give you a ride with us.
Please, no cigarette smokers and no pets without prior approval. At this time our kitchens are not yet suited to accommodate those individuals with severely restrictive diets.
If this excites you or you have any questions, please get in touch with us!
