Oh my, where do I start… I had a heavenly time in co. Cork, absolutely everything I was hoping for and so much more. First of all, I got to spend time with Áine, a fun, kind, generous person, down to earth, always as good as her word and such a good laugh. I loved her company, the chance to talk, exchange stories, laugh and watch TV, pet her sweet
… read more dog. Another treasure of this stay was meeting her family, mum, dad, her sisters, her uncle - they are an absolutely lovely bunch with their craic, generosity and hospitability. They made me feel so welcome, all of them, each in their own natural and special way. Also, I got to stay in a beautiful house, in a really comfortable room and woke up every day to see the green lawn (so what if it was February) outside my window. On top of all this, I had an opportunity to have a drink in a golf club, go to a creative writing group, see a match in a bar, take a (semi) dip in the Ocean, see West Cork, everything in just one week and all thanks to Áine.
Another great thing was that I got to work in the garden outside, a rare treat in my regular life. I absorbed the beautiful countryside and counted my lucky stars.
Thank you all again, I so cherished every minute with you!

I only had the opportunity to stay one week with Aine and Gilly!!
I would have really liked to stay longer. Aine did everything possible to ensure that I enjoyed my stay very much!! I am studying and she helped me in everything she could so that I could get to my classes. I am vegan and she made sure I had enough food. She is an amazing cook.
… read more Every day I was excited for dinner and I really enjoyed the company of her, her family and Gilly!! Almost every day I had the opportunity to spend time with her family and everyone was very kind to me!! Aine took me to very interesting places so that I could enjoy Irish life. Unfortunately that week I got sick and I couldn't help them as much as I would have wanted and she took care of me. The job was to help her arrange wood for the bonfires and help clean the garden...also clean the house a little and do some other activities inside her home!!
I really enjoyed Gilly. She is a very intelligent and calm dog. She gave me his love and we liked to go for a walk from time to time...
Thank you Aine and Gilly for opening the doors of your home to me… the house is beautiful and I had my own room and bathroom. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to collaborate with you!! I hope I was able to help you and that you were happy with my work!!

Issei was a pleasure to host. He also was very kind to my dog. He made me a beautiful Japanese pork dinner.
He has a great work ethic and was very tidy to share my home with.
He was so well mannered and good fun. I hope he enjoys his travels and look forward to hopefully seeing him in 2025.

Thank a million for a short term. I haven't met the host who devoted such a lot of her time to me. She took me to the lovely Japanese restaurant, ice skating, pubs, cobh and gave great meals every day. I absolutely spent a enjoyable time here because she always entertained me. I had a sick in the final half so I made her worry about me. She
… read more supported me every time at that time. When it comes to the jobs, I feel like it was hard including the weather but that was rewarding and good exercise for me. Aine, her parents and all her friends are very warm. I'm going to come back to cork again if I could get enough money. I hope we'll see you again there. Also, Gili is too of course.
