Description
We live on a cherry/apple orchard in beautiful Summerland, British Columbia located in the Okanagan Valley. We have very hot summers and are surrounded by mountain ranges, lakes, rivers. However we also live near several cities. The Okanagan Valley is known for its fantastic fruits and grape growing areas producing some of the world's finest wines. We grow organic fruits/vegetables and have a small herd of tropical hair sheep.

In the early spring we prepare organic garden, ferilize cherry trees, apple trees, sheep are lambing and we prepare for the summer market ahead. Cherry picking happens in early July. We sell our farm produce locally. We produce fruit juice in September. We have fencing projects, removing trees, etc.

Accommodation
We have a guest suite and a 32' motorhome we use as guest accommodation. We are walking distance to downtown Summerland and Lake Okanagan beach. We provide meals and like to exchange cooking meals to experience meals from other cultures. Most of the food we eat is food we grow ourselves, very delicious!
What else ...
We are looking for clean living, enthusiastic volunteers looking to experience life on a mixed orchard. It is possible to travel to nearby towns and cities on days off. The beach is 20 minutes walking and we live beside a provincial park mountain. Lots to see and do in Canada! We may even take you to a hockey game!
