Our family is located in a small fishing village in Sibaltan, on the northeast coast of Palawan. The village is 40km away from El Nido and 250km from Puerto Princesa.
Our family run business is located on the beach, from which you can watch beautiful sunrises from the ocean.
Our business consists of two parts:
1) We have a restaurant and small campsite situated on the beach with a palm tree background. This business was unfortunately closed due to Covid and a typhoon that hit in 2022 and we are working to get back to business. Renovation work and beach cleaning is needed.
2) We also have an organic farm called El Trinidad farm located 10 minutes away from the beach. We have tourist groups visiting the farm a few times a month. There is always lots to do on the farm: watering, harvesting, feeding the animals, building etc.
The most important thing for us is sharing good moments and our Filippino culture.
Volunteers have also the opportunity to learn the local cuisine with me (Eliezl) and my mum.Tipos de ayuda y oportunidades de aprendizaje

Sibaltan is a small fishing and farming community yet very tight-knitted. We all work to help the community and value this very much. Although Covid and the typhoon hit the village tourism activity badly, the community is working to get back on track working to start again.
We are very keen on sharing our philippino culture through food, our hospitality, our traditions and way of living.
We are also very eager to share and discuss our eco-farming practices.
Whilst there is nothing written down about Filipino culture, the elders can tell many stories through music and dance (Karaoke & Gin)Ayuda
There is a lot to do and many skills are welcome. Workawayers will be working both on the beach and on the farm according to daily needs.
1) Any carpentry and building skill is very appreciated. We are renovating our restaurant and building lots of new parts on the farm.
2) Gardening and harvesting work on the farm. You don't need to be an expert, as long as you are ready to get your hands dirty :)
3) Social Media skills are much needed too! I am looking for someone who can help me manage my Intagram business profile and grown the number of followers. Additionally, I need support in managing my workaway profile,my Booking profile. Having someone who can help me build a website for my farm would also be very appreciated.
4) General housekeeping (dishwashing, property cleaning, beach cleaning)
Workawayers are expected to contribute with 3 hours of work per day, Monday to Friday.Idiomas

Tents or bungalow if there are no guests staying. We have one person tent as well as tents for 2 people.
We kindly ask for a contribution of 300 pesos per head per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) to help us cover food costs. You are also welcome to buy your own food. There are many small shops just a few minutes walk away.Algo más...
In their free time, volunteers can travel around Sibaltant to visit our beautiful sandy beaches (like Dully beach, Nacpan beach). We try to organize island hopping tours if we have a sufficient number of workawayers interested.
Sibaltan is a great spot for kite surfing & scuba diving, which you can access and enjoy at the two local shops situated only 10 minutes away by foot.
Public transport to and from ElNido is unfortunately very limited so we advise renting a scooter here in Sibaltan or a tuc tuc.
You can visit our farm's Intagram page at El.trinidad.organicfarm
Some practical information:
1) We live in a very rural area so we do not have running water and electricity is limited.
2) There are no ATMs in Sibaltan so we advise travelers to withdraw cash in El Nido or Puerto Princesa.
3) We advise travelers to bring their own toilet paper (you also buy it here) and bring natural soaps only, since most of the shower water goes into the ground.
HOW TO REACH SIBALTAN:
1) Fly from Manila to El Nido. Every day there is a van that leaves ElNido at 10am and takes you to Sibaltan for 200-300 pesos. We can also arrange a tuc tuc for you which will cost approx. 1500 pesos total. It is an hour drive. In both cases we can help you arrange.
2) Fly from Manila to Puerto Princesa. Flights are cheaper but Puerto Princesa airport is much further away than ElNido. There are vans from Puerto to Sibaltan and viceversa twice a day. We can help you arrange that option. Note that it is a 6h drive.Un poco más de información

It was very beautiful place with awesome sunrises that you can watch straight from your tent, which was also our accomodation on the beach.
We cleaned the beach from seaweeds every morning.
That was nice thing to do at the same time with sunrise, because it was so peaceful and not too hot yet.
We washed dishes after… read more
